There was a thread regarding why a non-Sony Pyramid version may not come to GSN. So answer this:
$25,000 Pyramid (Cullen)
$50,000 Pyramid
100,00 Pyramid (Davidson)
All of the above
None of them!!!
There was a thread regarding why a non-Sony Pyramid version may not come to GSN. So answer this:
I chose all of the above. Cullen's Pyramid is worth seeing. $100,000 Pyramid too I wouldn't mind seeing
I would watch any of them, but aside from Cullen, the other two versions left something to be had. $50K was just downright cheap, and the tournament was structured poorly IMO. As for Davidson's version, the show lacked a host that could speak more than two sentences without stumbling (it happened a lot, and it showed big time). Don't get me wrong, at the end of the day it's still Pyramid, but when I watch those versions, they just seem out of place from the other ones. I doubt many people are even aware that there ever was a $50,000 Pyramid, and the same probably holds true for Davidson's version. Most people I talk to in regular conversation about the show remember Dick Clark and Bill Cullen hosting, and the 1980s versions.

Who hosted $50,000 Pyramid and what years did it air?
Cullen's.
$50,000 seemed cheap, even though it had Dick Clark.
And Davidson's version could make an onion cty
Dick Clark hosted The $50,000 Pyramid. It aired from January 26, 1981-June 5, 1981. Reruns aired through September 4, 1981. CBN aired repeats in the summer of 1982, and it hasn't been seen since.

i liked them all
I have to say, $50,000 Pyramid is definitely the Pyramid everybody forgot about most.
When's the last time the $50,000 Pyramid has been seen on TV?
The summer of 1982 on CBN, shortly before the $25,000 version debuted on CBS. At that time, however, the rights were still with CPM, so it was easy to get the rerun rights. Today, not so much.

The rights went from CPM to CBS Television Distribution, which was Viacom. They also control the Cullen episodes and the Davidson episodes. It's not a matter of not being able to get them (GSN never had any of these versions to begin with), but whether or not GSN is willing to pay for these reruns. I don't see CBSTD refusing to release the episodes, since they aren't doing anything with them. It could be a cost issue, too. However, considering GSN has the access to the other two 80s versions, Osmond's version and a number of 70s network episodes, the odds of them going for the remaining versions is slim.

Isn't MeTV where most of the CBS-owned shows are now? They should run the Pyramids they own there! Or the Hub. (I'd say the same about Sony and Antenna TV too, BTW)
As for which one I'd like to see, Cullen Pyramid, hands down. I've been watching episodes on YouTube and Bill is the only host who lived up to Dick Clark's job on the show. (Well, it IS Bill...) Plus I want to see Bernadette Peters play the game.
