No
All this DWTS talk on the forums needs to stop right now. Who's with me?
No because, we're saying how we feel about the show. Making our voices heard, hopefully. Freedom of Speech, as I say.
I'm with you phimat, if we do not talk about it, gsn will never know how we feel about it. I know that I have been very vocal about my feelings on this matter, and I have not changed my mind. I do not like it. It is way too suggestive, and I even change the channel when the commercials the commercials come on, especially if my younger grandchildren are here. There parents do not want the kids seeing that trash either.
This topic is pointless and stupid.
And the correct answer is no. I agree with phimat completely.
The general consensus here is that nobody likes DWTS on GSN. You can read 500 posts anywhere on these boards about it. Voices have been heard on the matter, but the fact is that GSN won't just can a show they spent a lot of money on because people on a message board don't like it. They went for a show that a lot of people are familiar with, and while it isn't a runaway smash, it is a competition. It doesn't fit the "Game Show Network" mold exactly, but when was the last time TLC or MTV or VH1 actually meant what they stood for? I'm not saying that nobody should say how they feel about DWTS, because I'm in no position to do that. However, constantly beating a dead horse (which is what this has become IMO) isn't going to make a huge difference. The way I look at it is this: I can have the GSN that there is now, or no GSN at all. I don't think anybody here really wants the channel to disappear. Before anybody says that DWTS may indeed cause that, it's not going to. If you don't want to watch it, then don't. This show may not get stellar ratings, but people seem to be watching it. By the way, to the above poster, there is no "correct" answer on this topic. It's an opinion poll, and that's all it is. The discussions about DWTS will not cease, and I think everybody knows that. It would be nice, however, to talk about something other than that sometimes. The show gets Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons, no more and no less. It's not at the level of Karn "Feud" or anything like that.

I do agree, it's not fun anymore. We could get a million people on this board to complain and nothing would ever change at GSN.
All the complaining doesnt matter. People have spoken in the way GSN will listen....by not watching. While I do feel people are free to voice complaints I understand and agree with the op's intent. It was mine just a couple of months ago. The constant griping gets old. I don't think it's nearly as bad as it was then, but even the newly created threads specifically created for the purpose of complaining is over the top. Maybe not to the new people doing it, but to those of us who post on here a lot it is. If it comes up in the course of conversation, not a problem. But I certainly don't want things back where they were in January around here.
Now speaking of trash on tv. I have found a new station that seems to be home to a lot of it! If you've never seen Trutv, flip over tonight at about 5:58 eastern time. I did last night as the basketball tournament pregame show started at 6. All I can say is....WOW!!! The unbleeped language, trailer park trashy people, and out and out filth I saw in 2 minutes was astounding! It was a show about a pawn shop and apparently it's a really popular show. Then I saw a commercial for another show during the tournament about some towing company and another about practical jokes. It was all incredibly filthy! I haven't watched this channel since the basketball tournament games they aired ended last year and I can pretty much promise unless they air some other sporting events as an overrun or something I won't watch again until next year after this lot of games over the next week or two end.
I voted yes, but then regretted it.
I think the more we voice our disgust for such show, the quicker it will be taken off the air.
I agree with the OP that there's no use in continuing to beat this dead horse. At least save it for when we see how season 12 does in the GSN ratings.
If you want to complain about how "bad" a show is, e-mail someone directly and tell them how you really feel.
