From a forum above, Card Sharks leaving is sad. It was getting the best numbers in a long time for classics for GSN, and was a hit on the network. I would love to see a Perry/Card Sharks hour weekdays at noon and a Friday night block.

I would've been thinking either Cullen or Edwards, but oh welp.

In my opinion, Lane's version of Chain Reaction may have been cheap, but was the best version out of them all. Too bad the show only got 130 episodes.

Over the past few months I have grown fond of Lane's version. It's pretty good and I'm glad to see it returning. Still, Cullen was my favorite version.

Chain Reaction, considering it has a good daytime slot, and its not on anywhere else, is going to do well for GSN. We're going to see those 400K+ numbers again. The only changes I would make to the daytime schedule now are...
*Card Sharks hour at noon (Perry then Eubanks); replacing Lingo
*Woolery Lingo at 2:30pm; replacing Engvall Lingo.

Mine too...mostly because he's Bill Cullen (has there ever been a better, more congenial all-around host than Uncle Bill, seriously?), but I love the format/gameplay of that version too. I sure wish GSN would bring it back again one day (it's been years since we've seen it), but sadly, I'm not holding my breath there.

Will Super Password reruns be replacing my beloved Whammy The All New Press Your Luck reruns? Because although Super Password sounds cool I will miss my beloved Whammy reruns if the rumor is true about Super Password taking Whammy's place,

LOL hardly have time to watch with these Games of the Week!

I think one of the reasons Pyramid daily (not Friday block) ratings have dropped is they are repeating the same episode mornings and late nights. The Jim Perry Card Sharks run, even though still only drawing from a relatively limited pool of episodes, was different for each slot of the day. I don't think it's a great idea to continue to repeat the same episode within a day for a given show - in this case the three Classics being added next week.

While I'm happy to see the Passwords return, I don't see the point of removing Card Sharks instead of getting a new run of episodes to air sometime within a day, even if late night. But I don't see the point of not airing a show's entire run...

BTW - Are the episodes of the Passwords to begin next week from the same run GSN aired of these shows the last time around?

Whammy! will likely stay - even if it's just on weekends.

If Super Password replaces anything in daytime, it will be Card Sharks.

Classics will not be moving to 3PM anytime soon, and if you're talking about the weekend morning slots, then Whammy! stays at 9:30 and 10am as well.

Well it wasn't a full schedule change but its good that there is some new "blood" back in the GSN lineup. Now I can resume by SPassword episode guide and recording of Password Plus eps again. The first ep. that I haven't recorded is #57. So I'll have to wait a little while.

GSN will never have a "full" schedule change. But, taking out Card Sharks completely was not a smart move.

Mostly, that's what they did with the Lane version. Tweaks to gameplay were relatively minor (like five intermediate slots instead of six). This typical Cullen ep will seem very familiar to anybody who's seen GSN's remake. There were a lot more celebs with Bill, though.

By the way, has GSN ever shown Cullen Chain Reaction? I don't recall it on the network, but I'm not sure. It's not shown on the Wikipedia list, but you know Wikipedia...

Well that and the players at least had some semblance to playing the bonus round as opposed to Dylan's version where they had to dumb it down and even then some had no clue what they were doing.
