That's why we didn't see it until 1982, because of the taping of all the '81 episodes.

I was watching Password Plus this past Monday morning, and I discovered at least the first segment's screen appeared to be narrower. It was definitely fixed by the third segment. Why was the screen at the beginning narrower?

Someone/the control system at GSN got the aspect ratio wrong when the episode was programmed in.

Didn't Betty receive a standing ovation upon her first episode she taped after Allen's death? According the the P+ episode guide at http://www.retrogameshows.com/pp81.html it aired on September 14, 1981.

Considering that they were married for more than 2 decades and was Betty's third husband, then I would think so

My mistake. That wouldn't have passed at all back then

I believe that 9-14-81 Betty White, Dick Martin episode was the first P+ episode to mention Allen's death.

Watching Password Plus now. The moment happened again where another player shouted out the answer instead of giving the clue like she was suppose to.

If it had been in 1981, it may have passed, as Mr. Roper and Mr. Furley thought about the Jack Tripper character in "Three's Company."

Three's Company was also a "weird" show back then, and people questioned it. But wow times have changed.

Not as funny as the premiere when the word was "CIGAR" and the player thought she had a good clue but then shouted out cigar.

How did that lady who was on PW+ Monday and Tuesday ever win anything? She couldn't figure out Cracker Jacks?! There was one other too that I can't remember that was really simple she didn't get either.

I already forget there have been a ton of stupid players on Password Plus and Super Password. I think the $25,000 Pyramid had a better casting call.
