Nope. That was episode #294. Episode #1 featured Gloria Loring and Pat Sajak and was from September 1984. Here is the premiere if you want to watch it.

TiVo was right. Password Plus+ began with episode #1. Replay's tonight at 11:30pm (PT)-2:30am (ET) of the first show. Glad both Password's are back!

Thanks. I wish we could see that on GSN.

Not me. I am more a fan of later episodes of a game show run.

Super Password looked to be "in the beginning stages" in the first few months on the air. I didn't care for the premiere as much as I care for the later-1985 episodes, to say the least. Just like I prefer the car game era of Card Sharks more than the earlier episodes. And just like I prefer 1985 and 1986 episodes of Press Your Luck over 1983 and 1984 episodes (yes, that includes Michael Larson's run too!). The pricing game sets on 1972 episodes of TPIR looked so... blah. TPIR gets better and better as the years progress, it seems.

In my honest opinion, I'm glad they started the so-called limited run of Super Password closer to 1986 than in 1984. I did in fact record last night's rebroadcast, and I will for some time to come.

As do a lot of game shows.

Anyway, saw Password Plus this morning. Another great episode. I've said it for the umpteenth time, but I am looking forward to the next few weeks.

Also enjoying Super Password too. I never thought I'd say this, but I am really glad Super Password was brought back to the schedule.

Super Password in its beginning stages may have been bad, but I am really liking the Premiere week of Password Plus. There are some really good episodes.

I can't even tell you just how much I've missed Password Plus, and I'm really gaining a new appreciation for Super Password too. And as far as Password Plus goes...you don't get any better than to start from the beginning, with real-life couple Elizabeth Montgomery and Robert Foxworth. From what Allen Ludden said many years ago, Liz was the best female player to ever appear on Password (and maybe the best, period, IMHO - she was that good).

These are "new episodes" to a lot of us since some of these episodes haven't been shown on GSN in more than 3 years. It would be good to make a Password Plus/Super Password block marathon Friday nights (If 25K does badly) or Saturday nights (if they finally take off DWTS)

I recorded Monday night's airing of Super Password, and I discovered the first Super Password episode of GSN's current lease started with a fresh match, but no end game was featured on that episode. Last night's episode started with the end game, needless to say, but I realized this morning I failed to record it last night (I had the TV set to CBS to record Drew's TPIR this afternoon, but I should have changed the channel on my digital box to GSN, and after I rise from bed, I would change the channel to CBS. I will make every effort to record tonight's Super Password airing for sure.

I also noticed the first puzzle on the first episode of GSN's lease had a TPIR reference in it. BARKER and BEAUTY. I originally thought the answer was going to be Janice Pennington or Holly Hallstrom.

If GSN does indeed have the rights to only 200 episodes of Super Password, it will probably stop somewhere in August or September 1986. If 400, it will probably stop somewhere in May or June 1987.

One question I'd like to ask: When in 1986 or 1987 does the font of the answers and the passwords on the puzzle board change? I know the font currently seen has a more blocky look (the "S" is more blocky, whereas later in 1986 or early 1987 the "S" is more curved). The current font is quite different, seeing the closest font type to it is Impact, which many people do use.

I was maybe 2 years old when this episode aired....Elizabeth Montgomery was soooooooo hot! Not as hot as Bewitched, but hot nonetheless.

Didn't catch Password Plus this morning. Thanks for the Latenight repeats.

I am enjoying this Super Password week with Burghoff and Farr. Excellent choice of episodes GSN.

I think she was on the week of $25,000 Pyramid that was being aired on GSN at 10:30am. But, she won't be on tomorrow (Thursday) since it's going to be a new week of $25,000 Pyramid.
