Then why not put the Tattletales on that schedule again? It will do well and I mentioned it before.

    Imagine this

A Password and Password Plus Hour
and a Super Password and Tattletales hour

^^I would prefer Child's Play over Tattletales right now. Or even better, the old Press Your Luck.

    It's not a good idea?

Child's Play, Press Your Luck, and of course Eubanks The Newlywed Game (which we all miss) would be favorable over Tattletales. Within the decade, its doubtful that GSN will show Tattletales again. Let's just be happy with Password Plus for now.

But, I thought that they can not show Bob's Newlywed Game now that Sherri's version is doing well.

They CAN show Bob's The Newlywed Game but just won't since Sherri's version is airing, along with Wilson's version at times.

Just beyond happy the Password's are back, limited episodes or no. This just made my year.

Yes. It's good to see GSN adding classics, and possibly more on the way. A little more variety wouldn't be bad.

Pre-1990 shows aren't getting any more time on the schedule at all. Considering the recent upfront, pre-1990 material will be lucky to hang onto what it's got now. David Goldhill actually dumped on the idea of GSN as a "museum for old game shows." The full comments from the NYT story:

GSN "had been seen more as a museum of game shows than a contemporary television network," said David Goldhill, president and chief executive of GSN, alluding to the channel’s previous lineups that were replete with reruns of vintage shows like Password, The Match Game and What’s My Line?

The addition of reality programming is an expansion "around the core" of the channel, Mr. Goldhill said, "to broaden the appeal" and "make it more contemporary."

Although "the transformation is still a work in progress," he cautioned, the channel is "committed to growing original programming."

I've noticed that and have read the article. GSN could expand 4-hours of classics later into the day, but we should be happy with Super Password, Password Plus and $25,000 Pyramid returning, and Pyramid on Friday nights.

GSN May want to become more "contemporary" but if the viewers aren't going to change their viewing habits, then these reality shows will continue to flop.

GSN has a loyal viewership, but it's not being fully explored. Instead this network is trying to change what people watch, rather than embrace and expand upon what they want to see.

Take the ratings on Family Feud for instance. It's based on a Classic show.

And look at the ratings on the original episodes of classic remakes, they're the strongest performers.

The only shows that are pulling down the network are the reality show acquisitions and new attempts at trying to change people's tastes.

Go with what works, go with Game Shows!

What reality shows have GSN acquired lately? If Dancing with the Stars counts as reality, then that counts. But, if GSN wants to do well with these reality shows, they have to put them in good time slots, and don't make them look stupid. Here is a schedule I would create for the shows GSN is planning to produce.

All 5 weeknights (three real game shows)
    6:00pm: The Newlywed Game (new)
    6:30pm: $100,000 Pyramid (new)
    7:00pm: Beat the Chefs

    Mondays-Thursdays (half-hour reality shows)
    8:00pm: Pure Gold (new)
    8:30pm: The Family Trade (new)
9:00pm: War of the Rose Sisters (new)
    9:30pm: Crowning Glory (new)

Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays (hour long shows)
    8:00pm: American Bible Challenge (new)
    9:00pm: Crowning Glory (new)

^^ The Bible show will be an hour long instead of 30 minutes?
I could see 30 minutes but an hour, really?

For the other shows, they sound like 30 minutes.

The pilot for "Bible" is an hour. But the episodes will probably be a half-hour if the show is good. So I would air it in the same place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
