The Newlywed Game, The Pyramid and "Bible"

Good news for the production of GSN's originals today. The Newlywed Game has been renewed for a sixth season, which means its tied to be GSN's longest running show with Woolery Lingo. A $100,000 Pyramid is along the lines of what a lot of forums have been suggesting for months, saying that GSN needs another word-association game. And, although not all of us like the idea of a Bible quiz game show, Jeff Foxworthy as the host was a good move made by GSN?

What do you think about The Newlywed Game season 6, a $100,000 Pyramid revival, and Jeff Foxworthy hosting "American Bible Challenge"?

I don't care about The Newlywed Game since it's not my glass of milk, but if it brings in the ratings, then good for GSN.

The $100,000 Pyramid revival should be interesting. Can't wait to see the first episode if this happens.

And Jeff Foxxworthy hosting this new bible game show = fail. Expect a bunch of dirty humor and jokes from him on a BIBLE game show. Not looking forward to this.

hey maybe GSN could hire David Vanacore with the blessed Kateri Children's choir singing "Are You Smarter Than Your Local Pastor" as the theme song for The American Bible Challenge (LOL!)

here's a sneak peek of the lyrics:

Are Your Smarter Than Your Local Pastor
are you the only Holy Scripture Master
well, just prove it right here on stage
    on The American Bible Challenge

as for The $100,000 Pyramid revival i hope Michael Davies resurrects the CBS pilot set from 2009.

That wasn't even close to being clever.

also is Andy Richter still on board to do GSN's 100kPyramid revival?
i mean since he hosted the 2010 CBS pilot that gone no where
and talks about him hosting the reboot on TBS which also not gotten the green light

also since TNG got the go ahead for a 6th season then that means Baggage with Jerry Springer
has got the axe by GSN right?

well if it did then it sort of makes sense since Baggage will be in syndication this fall, probably in the late night hour.

I just hope GSN doesn't mix organ-like music into the theme song. I was thinking about that. The show could work as long as its very modern

...or rehash the theme song from Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?, put some religious lyrics on their and then recall it Are You Smarter Than Your Local Pastor?.

I don't know but I hope GSN becomes creative. American Bible Challenge doesn't need an announcer, but I think they should hire on for The $100,000 Pyramid. That's a given

I hope they get either Craig Ferguson or Steve Higgins to host Pyramid.

Or Jeff Foxworthy can say to the contestants, "If you're on this game show, you must be a redneck."

The Newlywed Game should undergo some change for a sixth season to make the show more interesting. If GSN does well with $100,000 Pyramid, that will pull in big ratings too. Craig Ferguson hosting "Bible" wouldn't be a bad idea.
