Another show I used to love but now don't care about anymore is Arthur.
The show was okay up to and including 2006, though I do admit, the show was becoming dull by the time we were in the midst of the 2004-2005 season. There was only one 2006 season episode I enjoyed - "The Secret about Secrets" is one I really enjoyed (especially the ending to that one where D.W. gets her secret about her friend splitting his pants out and into a shell in a lake, only for a seagull at the very end bursting a bubble coming from the shell and "James split his pants!" - D.W.'s secret she didn't want to reveal - was revealed in the air, though luckily James wasn't in the area), but everything else that season was just blah. The 2007 season was not at all great - I discontinued watching the show midway through the 2007 season, and the last time I watched Arthur in July 2007, it was the second airing of the episode with "Strangers On A Train" - the one where Sue Ellen was trying to solve a mystery while taking a journey on a train. After that, because of rerun-abuse of previous seasons, some of which aired overkill to that point, and the newer episodes not being that interesting to watch, plus college and now my job taking over my agenda, I immediately tuned out Arthur for good. Though I do admit, there were some interesting episodes that I elected to miss because of priorities - such as the episode where Francine copied and pasted an Internet article and used it for her report, and an episode where Mrs. McGrady was diagnosed with cancer, and in the current season Grandpa Dave was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
And I heard rumor that Arthur may be cancelled after the current season. Not sure if they will air reruns for a few more years after that (like they did with Reading Rainbow), or if they'll yank it off the air in September (like they did with Bill Nye The Science Guy in 1999), but I think the end is coming sooner than later. If Arthur does indeed go off the air, I think the show will go out a normal episode. Unless the "Prunella The Packrat" episode reveals some "hinting" of the show, Arthur, being on the way out.
