The last weekday Super Password GSN aired

I was curious why GSN would start with episode 294, so I did some research. Is GSN starting where they left off in 2009? Absolutely not.

The last weekday SP episodes I remember seeing were their Halloween specials aired on 10-30-09.

The regular rotation SP which aired on 10-29-09 were #539 airdate 10-17-86 and #545 airdate 11-3-86 (source=http://www.flashgameshows.com/wordpr...s/10-26-09.pdf)

I believe GSN removed SP from the weekday schedule the following week with the 1986 Halloween week episodes of Lindsay Bloom and Tom Poston.

I know it was from 1986, and I remember when it left the schedule. It was after the first week of November 2009, if I remember correctly. I even remember one user (whose name won't be mentioned) who was creating a comprehensive Super Password episode guide and seemed to be obsessively anticipating the episode where Gene Wood starts to whisper the passwords. Makes me wonder if GSN removed the show because that user was showing obsession on the forums and felt they needed to remove the show to not fulfill his obsession?

Either way, I'm glad that user is retired from the forums.

Anyway, GSN wouldn't pick up from the same episode they ended with in 2009.But it was around March of 2009 I think

I highly doubt GSN had any reason to be concerned about that.

November 2009 was when GSN removed Super Password.

Super Password is a good show, it really is but who knows why somebody always had to be 'on' about it.

Just dug deeper into November 2009 with the PDF's, and the final weekday airings of Super Password was November 13, 2009. A very unlucky Friday the 13th for Super Password fans across the board. One of the Super Password airings was replaced by - UGH! - Love Connection, and Wheel of Fortune 1994-95 season moved into the other Super Password airing's slot.

Super Password had two more weekends of airings remaining after the final daytime airings before it exited the GSN schedule completely - until next Monday.

They're both good shows. (Super Password and Password Plus). They should make a Friday night block out of those shows if 25K Pyramid does bad in April. It may happen eventually.

Yeah, somewhere in late 1986. I don't have many 1986 episodes in my collection, so I'm excited for the return of the show.

I wanted to see the 1987 episodes with Bill Rafferty (that week is up on YouTube), Tom Kennedy and William Christopher. That never happened.

I want to see Rafferty Card Sharks on GSN. I'm really going to miss Card Sharks come April. It was a stupid decision taking it down. It'll be back, just like what they did with Chain Reaction.

BTW, when Super Password did exit the GSN schedule in November 2009, did they barely air the first episodes with Gene Wood whispering the passwords to the home viewers?

Are we going to be seeing the same episodes of Super Password as back in 2009?

The Super Password episodes we'll be seeing were last aired April 2009.

The only reason the show advanced so far into 1986 was the double run it was given in June 2009.

Yeah, the Burghoff/Farr week from November 1985 was a good one. I love Gary's comment to Bert "Don't you ever age?"

And the first 5 months of 1979 (Password Plus) were shown on weekdays around the same time these Super Password episodes aired until GSN pulled it (The + version) from weekdays. Can't wait to see some later 1979 episodes.
