Anyone Ever Upgrade on World Winner?

I have done so many GSN Games of the week I have enough points to redeem for $100 AMEX card if I upgrade to cash. Any thoughts? It would be ironic that I havent won $100 worth of prizes on GSN but could on WW.

    Thanks!

Make sure you are eligible to redeem points. Certain states are prohibited from playing cash games. Read the fine print in their terms and conditions. I would not waste money playing cash games but if you are eligible to redeem points it might be worth trying put in the minimum cash, redeeming the points and then taking the cash back. You could always e-mail yhe worldwinner site before trying to do this so you can get a response in writing from them before trying it. Good Luck.

i'd like to upgrade so i can redeem my points, but i'm afraid of there being hidden stipulations. I know to upgrade i have to put up a minimum of $10 (which i would gladly do for the $200 giftcard i qualify for), and i'm pretty sure my state allows it, but i'm still paranoid.

i wondered about this too but i'm sure WW is not going to just hand out $100 gift cards in exchange for points. i'm going with the "if it sounds too good to be true" reasoning on this one.

I am in the same boat. Questions: 1. Will the points be there if I actually join or will I have to start over? 2. Will I still be eligble to play the free games to win oodles?

It's been a while since I upgraded but I found it to be worth it. I think all I had to do was register with a credit card. I've never actually paid anything out of my own pocket--I think they were having a promotion at the time that if you upgraded, you'd get a "free" $20 in play credits. In the last couple of years I've played mostly the daily free games and a few cash games (using the original $20 in credits and building on that), used the points to get $40 in Amazon gift certificates, and got an actual check for $50. I'm not a big enough player to win more than that, but I've been happy with it.

Hi, I sent your questions/concerns along and this is what came back. You can always directly contact player services too by logging into cash games, and clicking "help."

Players will need to be upgraded (cash) members to redeem Rewards Points for Gift Cards/Certificates in the WW Rewards Store. We do not ship gift cards/certificates to PO Boxes or to International Addresses – only addresses in the United States. International members who upgrade their accounts for cash competitions will only be able to redeem Rewards Points for WorldWinner Game Credits.

Whatever Rewards Points they earn as a Practice (free) member will be available within their account once they upgrade their membership – the Rewards Points balance will not ‘restart’ once they upgrade. Remember, only Rewards Points can be used to redeemed for gift cards/certificates in the WW Rewards Store – not Oodles or Tokens.

There are no ‘hidden stipulations’ for becoming a cash member – we do not charge any subscription/membership fees and players can withdraw Real Money from their accounts at any time they wish (if they do not like what is offered, etc).

To anyone who upgrades, let us know how it goes.

There is a stipulation, actually. It is subtle though. Once you upgrade (put up the minimum $10), you will notice that you won't be given nearly as many opportunities to get 'reward' points as before you upgraded. To start getting more reward points, you will need to play cash games (thus spend more money). I suggest that you hold off upgrading until you have amassed a huge number of reward points. Before I upgraded, I was able to gain a lot of reward points and oodles by playing the free cash games. After I upgraded, it all dried up. Another FYI, if you chose to quit and cancel your account, they forbid you from joining again.

I've never considered worldwinner because I'm from one of the banned states, but now I have a question. Can I play the practice games, accumulate rewards points, deposit $10 to upgrade to cash competitions, and redeem my rewards points? The terms state --
"the Site DOES NOT offer games requiring a cash entry fee ("Cash Competitions") to users accessing the Site from the following states: "
So my scenario wouldn't violate these terms since I'd never play a cash game. Or will I just not be allowed to upgrade.

chtiger1, you probably need to contact Player Services directly with that question. I don't know the answer.

I am a LONG time player of WorldWinner (because I'm completely hooked). Here's the scoop - YES, there are cash games and YES there are free games, which can be used for things like, "Play 10 games of Big Money to get 300 Oodles" and they stipulate it has to be on worldwinner. The free games DO count. Another part that they just added to worldwinner is the ability to play token games. If I run out of cash, it's fun to play the token games (they are linked to your gsn account). Finally, the points you earn on WorldWinner ARE redeemable for game credits and gift certificates (i.e. WalMart and American Express) and it is NOT difficult to get enough rewards to purchase these, unlike gsn. Unless you don't want to spend the initial $10, I would recommend it. Just don't get hooked on the gambling aspect of it!
P.S. To answer someone's question about the state you're in - obviously I can't answer for every state. However, my state of Indiana will not allow me to play the card games because the state considers them "luck based" whereas the other games are considered "skill based", thus not gambling. I would imagine multiple states are like that, especially ones like mine that do not allow gambling in general. But it's not a big deal because I can still play the free cash games for oodles, I can play them for tokens, and there are LOTS of other games to choose from.

    1) Oodles, tokens, and worldwinner points are all completely different. So your oodles will not transfer over. The WW points don't expire as far as I can tell.
    2) Yes
