One of the best Family Feud hosts in my books, Ray Combs, would have celebrated his 56th birthday today, had it not been for his personal and family problems and selfishly hanging himself, leaving his kids without a father.

Sad way to go out, he was a great host.

I totally agree, Ray Combs was a excellent host of Family Feud and every other game show he had hosted, i also loved him in the movie Overboard. Yeah when i learned of his death back in 1996 it really shocked me, but he was extremely depressed about his marriage and career.

man i missed him too as well; heck i grew up with Ray Combs way more than Richard Dawson and besides if back in 1999 Ray Combs were alive in that time and Louie Anderson wasn't selected as the new host of Feud i would see Combs giving a second chance Dawson had a second chance in 1994 (short-lived mind you) why not Combs right?

Most definitely, Ray Combs was very friendly, likable, charming and down to earth. He basically could have been successful forever and then some.
