    GSN should acquire it. Now.

But what version of Blockbusters do we want to see? It will do well again, don't get me wrong.

I would do well but I'm not sure which version

Perhaps the Cullen version would make sense.

Blockbusters I believe did well on GSN, so now I'd have to put that on my list of picking up classics in 2012.

Sure but I'm just trying to make a point. Though, I will say it is mostly the older generation watching the shows so they would probably know the old answers to the questions.

If GSN were to put shows like Blockbusters and Tic Tac Dough back on weekday mornings-afternoons for viewers since the old crowd watches then, it could work out okay. Not high numbers most likely but still, just saying.

Christ, for the money they could spend on re-acquiring that show, they could probably make their own version of Blockbusters, get someone who's a good B-list actor to play as the host and get modern questions about the game. Personally, I think Jim Parsons would do a great job of it. Or Todd Newton.

Blockbusters is probably the easiest game out of all of them to frickin' remake!

Upcoming Shows: Iron Maiden, Devore, September 13
    Kamelot, Anaheim, September 21

I don't know who Jim Parsons is.

High numbers for a classic in the morning is anything above 250K (Card Sharks, 100K Pyramid.) Poor numbers are anything below 150K (Dawson Feud, Match Game). But Blockbusters I could see getting high numbers, even if it does air before noon.

The guy from the Big Bang Theory, I believe.

Back on subject, I think it would be a good idea very soon for GSN to acquire episodes of Who Wants to be a Millionaire from 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12, and air them at 5 & 5:30pm daily. Does anyone think that could work well there?

Viera's Millionaire didn't do very well when GSN aired early episodes of it, so I doubt they want the more recent ones.

More recent ones have been a hit for ABC. If they were put on the right spots on the schedule (Weekdays 5 & 5:30PM OR 9 & 9:30PM). It would be one of the better acquisitions for GSN

That may be true, but 5 or 5:30 are out because 5th Grader just moved in there, and unless/until they stop the block scheduling, so is 9 or 9:30. And I don't think the GSN brass is in love with it (Regis or Viera) anyway.

GSN attempted to put Regis' Millionaire in prime time at 8pm last summer but then apparently it bomb. But modern game show acquisitions are working out very well for GSN right now. Something like this in prime time could work very well:

    All 5 nights
    5:00pm: 5th Grader
    6:00pm: The Newlywed Game
    6:30pm: Baggage
    7:00pm: Deal or No Deal
    8:00pm: Family Feud (Harvey)
    8:30pm: Family Feud (Harvey)
9:00pm: Who Wants to be a Millionaire
9:30pm: Who Wants to be a Millionaire
    10:00pm: Family Feud (O'Hurley)
    10:30pm: Family Feud (O'Hurley)
    11:00pm: The Newlywed Game
    11:30pm: Baggage

5th Grader at 10pm where it does best on Sunday nights could work every night at 10pm and not 5pm, since WWTBA Millionaire would do better at 5pm I think than 9pm.
