Let's just talk about what GSN has access to right now, not in a couple months or years possibly.

Buzzerblog just posted the PDF for April 16-22, 2012. Dancing With The Stars is nowhere to be found.

It looks like it's the end of the line for DWTS.

I saw it, too. Thought it was a prank at first, then I went "Wow, even GSN had enough?".

Staff at GSN, find a wall, then commence banging your head against it.

Wow, but I guess it's for the better. Anyway, 5th Grader leaves 5:00pm. Replacing it is Steve Harvey's Feud for a full day 7 days a week. A lot of other changes, such as Chain Reaction on the weekends, more Family Feud taking over Dancing's spots. Check it out.

How'd you know? GSN should get the whip on Amy and apologize about why she put the show on in the first place.

I think most of us know why she put the show on. No offense. According to a press release GSN is appealing to the female demos so, that is pretty much why GSN put the show on. And, that is why GSN hired Amy. She worked for Oxygen if I remember correctly.

Amy should really get fired. I'm sorry but, I'm sure the female audience was just happy with traditional game shows or they wouldn't have stuck around. GSN will never learn from trying reality shows. I look forward to seeing what the next slate of shows will be like. But honestly, GSN should just learn and stop trying new things and go back to real, true game shows. Of course, we all know they will never learn.

Not to sound like a certain user on this board who predicts GSN will go off the air but to be honest, I'm surprised GSN is still on the air. I guess they have online gaming to thank and there are shows on here that still get fair, decent ratings. But still, a network that has never learned or amounted to anything is still surviving. No offense to all and GSN. I am just saying how I feel and the facts.

    Sorry if I went off-topic.

You're right; she had an extensive history with female-oriented networks (and developing reality shows). No problem with that, but that doesn't sound like the right kind of background for GSN. And you're also right that the press release specifically mentioned those demos. Again, I wouldn't mind, except even those demos didn't support it.

That said, I doubt they'll can her. If they canned people every time a bad programming decision was made, they'd have a boatload of turnover every month.

I agree there, but I think if they keep her much longer, they will have more failures. Look at what happened with Dancing with the Stars. She knows nothing about the Game Show Network, In my opinion. The Newlywed Game and Baggage are winners on the network though I think they are trash, I have to give credit where credit is due though those shows aren't shows Amy developed.

In my opinion, she should've stayed at Oxygen or whatever and leave GSN to the pros. Not saying it has to be 100% classic or game shows but, I don't want reality on this network when this is the Game Show Network. Looking forward however to seeing the slate of shows GSN puts on.

Looks like Cronin isn't the DEVIL everyone made him out to be.

I respected Cronin. I didn't start watching GSN until 2006 and when I started watching, it was heaven. If only GSN would go back to the old days but sadly, I doubt they care about their hardcore fans anymore. They want younger viewers when it's mostly older viewers who watch the shows. They supposedly appeal to women now.

Looks like DWTS is getting trimmed from more than just on Sundays. Not sure if the schedules are accurate, but it appears that it's been wiped from the schedule altogether!

I cannot let this go. If I and others do, they become the new facts in which other theories are built off of. As much as you'd like to blame Amy Davis, this show was announced as added shortly after she came aboard. There is no way she was involved in the negotiations of this in any substantive way. A show like this isn't reruns of Password where absolutely no one else has interest and they are fairly easy to acquire. It may have taken months to acquire this and even if it didn't I know it didn't take 2-3 weeks (for all the joking about negotiating for classics we do, it probably takes a couple of weeks to iron out the details on those too). She had NOTHING to do with the addition of this show. She might not have had a problem with it but she did NOT spearhead the effort to acquire it. She didn't work for the company then. However, I do believe she was behind the decision to run the show like it was. Remember, it was only supposed to air 2 or 3 times Saturday and repeated Sunday. Not run all night Friday, Saturday, and afternoon on Sunday.

All I ask is for perspective and not turn this into something like you see in politics. Blame what is rightfully the fault of the person on them. But don't start conspiracies, imbelish the facts and timeline to make it more what you want it to be, or anything like that. Doing that just calls your motives in question as to whether you really want to tell the truth or if you are just interested in the person in questions downfall and will stop at nothing to try and make that happen.

I always felt with Cronin having been on P+, that he understood things and tried to stay true to the genre. Sure, he was somewhat responsible for the 2004 fiasco. But he knew pretty much what we, the game show fans were looking for. Amy Davis doesn't seem to have a clue and isn't connected.

She may not know what game show fans want. That's fine. Blaming her for this acquisition isn't.

I wonder why 5th Grader has been narrowed down to its 5 slots a week again. The show was doing well at 5pm. Maybe GSN wants its Sunday night numbers to remain high so people will only watch 5th Grader then, and not other times. Makes sense.

Hearing that Dancing with the Stars was trimmed on Sundays was good enough but this is pretty awesome.
