This is a good idea. The method we've seen for the last few years was just not working anymore, and something needed to be done. People want to see Game Shows, and the ratings prove it, and there are Classic Game Shows that bring in ratings as well. But we would have never known if the status quo was maintained.

    GSN needs to...

*Make 1-2 more modern game show acquisitions (09-10 Feud, WWTBA Millionaire, Wheel of Fortune, TPIR, Who's Still Standing)
*Make 1-2 more new season of same shows classic acquisitions (Card Sharks, Match Game/Match Game PM, $25,000 Pyramid, Dawson Feud)
*1 new classic acquisitions (original password, Combs Feud, etc.)
*Dump Mon.-Fri. block scheduling (keep Saturday's Feud and Sunday's 5th Grader)
*New season of The Newlywed Game
    *New season of Lingo
    *Baggage in syndication
    *'Beat the Chefs' premiere
    *'Bible' pilot

    ...by the end of 2012

There are enough Drew episodes out there to acquire repeats of TPIR, and not have to deal with Bob Barker at all.

I don't think I'd watch, but I won't deny anybody else. Since it's not a bad show; I'm just a 1970's TPIR fanatic, but those shows will probably never air on TV again.

TPIR and Who's Still Standing would be good to make a Sunday night block marathon out of (move 5th Grader to Mondays when all episodes are used up since 'Standing' airs new Mondays), and then would do well weekends at noon and 1pm

Who's Still Standing still airs Mondays? I thought NBC cancelled it.

That's a lot to expect, especially of GSN, in one year. I don't see them ordering new Lingo, nor adding a new classic or changing their leases (lest they become a "museum"), and I could see maybe one of those modern shows being picked up, and even that's dicey. The only thing that'll probably happen is the end of the blocks...possibly.

In other words, don't hold your breath; GSN is as random as can be with their schedule.

If its cancelled, then GSN should leave 5th Grader on Sundays for 5 hours and acquire Who's Still Standing, and air it Mondays. Although I prefer that GSN just dumps the block schedule of course
