    Is this a new policy????

Today (4/9), they aired the HALLOWEEN episode of Whammy!
I only caught the end of it but, I saw Judge Judy and Dennis Rodman. Looked like Todd Newton dressed up as a Congressman.

I guess this means that GSN might have stopped the silly policy of not airing Holiday related episodes on "regular" days ??

I never knew there was a policy about holiday shows.

I think they were just trying to keep a theme going, based on the season, now they're just airing them in constant rotation. So we'll see Christmas episodes in July, and Halloween in April!

Well, maybe the policy of airing holiday-themed episodes of certain shows was probably more prevalent during the tenure of Kelly Goode and the person before her. It possibly wasn't totally Goldhill's decision. During Rich Cronin's tenure, seeing Christmas-themed episodes in months outside of December was perfectly acceptable. Possibly until the person before Kelly Goode took the helm. Now, Amy Davis may be credited for removing that policy for any shows that are recently acquired. One way to know is if, after mid-May, Super Password airs episodes from December 1985. If no skippage is prevalent, then we can safely declare the "skip holiday-themed episodes" policy obsolete - at least for Super Password.

If its in a normal cycle of rotation for episodes, then its not an issue. But, they should make a block schedule on Halloween out of Halloween themed game shows they have.

I think they've always been pretty inconsistent about this. Maybe the Whammy! episode gets a pass because it's only only one episode out of 130, as opposed to a week or two out of a 200-400 episode lease.

That's sounds right. A week of episodes wouldn't be shown, but if its a show like Whammy! that GSN doesn't care too much about, they would just air the episodes as is.

That's the Whammy episode from 2002 that featured Todd Newton dressed as the Grim Reaper and the guy who dressed as Dennis Rodman was named Tracy and the Judge Judy contestant was named Sarah. That's one of my favorite episodes of Whammy. The only reason why Whammy's Halloween episode was shown was because Whammy didn't have an Easter themed episode and GSN shows the episodes in order sometimes so it's not a new policy to you,
Hope this helped you very much Espnews26,

This type of stuff has happened before on GSN, where GSN would show a Christmas episode of a show in like July. It happens the most with modern Family Feud, and sometimes Woolery Lingo

The 6pm episode of 5th Grader that aired on 4/15/12 was a holiday episode featuring a rabbi vs a reverend.
That same episode reaired 3 hours later at 9pm.

I disagree with these same night repeats for 5th Grader. Harvey Feud is fine, but 5th Grader is somehow different. When it was new at 8, 9 and 10pm instead the situation was much different.
