Thanks peggy
thank-you peggy have a blest week-end.
Thank you all for being so nice. I'm just glad i can help in some way.
Creating a thread to ask/inform about the secret word is unnecessary. They're posted daily at the following thread:
http://www.gsn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2253
It can also be found as a "Sticky" thread at the top of the "Oodles Discussion" board.
You do it your way and we do it ours. I hope you do not have a problem with that. Have a nice day.
It's not about a "way" of doing things . . . creating a new thread daily for the same subject, if not against the Terms of Service for the site, is bad netiquette. It clutters up the forums with unnecessary threads and is just downright rude. I may only have about 10 posts on these forums, but it's only because I find the information I want before I post something.
In effect, I do have a problem with the daily threads, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I feel I've made a well enough explanation why.
Thank you. And you as well.Have a nice day.
You just think your way, I just don't agree. Many people say thank you for the information, so if you don't like it that will be your bad, I am old and do not care.
wakedaddy, if you don't want to read it you don't have to...but we all appreciate peggypeoples post. Leave her alone. There is nothing wrong with her netiquette.
To Wakedaddy: You need to do things your way and leave Peggy and others in peace. Your excuse of netiquette is not in line with our community board!!! Not very many people in this world do things to help other people. Leave Peggy and us alone. Thank you!
"Have a nice day". Yeah right. More like Hey a**hole. Take your "netiquette" and shove it. GSN has gotten so stingy with their worthless "oodles" and "tokens" (which they make you buy), that playing thsse stupid games has about reached the point of diminishing return. What? You're some sort of GSN "professional"??? Puh-leeeze. Leave Peggy the hell alone and stick with your pathetic, little "netiquette" clique. We appreciate Peggy helping out every day, since the money-grubbing network has chosen to make it next to impossible to find their dopey "secret word". Maybe GSN should stick to GAME SHOWS...not moronic crap like "Dancing With The Stars". GSN is getting like MTV...too much "diversity", less and less authentic-genre programming and a dwindling audience. There's little left worth watching and dweebs like you with your "netiquette" will be the last nail in GSN's coffin. "DWTS", "The Newlywed Game"; short-lived, limited episode junk like "Power of Ten", ""1 vs. 100", "Whammy: The all New Press Your Luck" and other high-priced slop will kill GSN. Here's a clue. Bring back the original "PYL". Rest assured, if GSN dies, some other saavy network will run the classics and win. I find I spend more time with "MeTV" than GSN. They stick with the bread-and-butter shows, plus MeTV has over-the-air affiliates and no "buy some Tokens" website. Sony and Lincoln Media are loaded. Spend some of your billions. Cable already costs plenty without GSN's endless "nibbling around the edges", as Chuck Woolery would've said. Get outta my pockets. Final thought. Remember "GSN Radio"?
Correct, but the forum page is cluttered with threads with the same title, which makes it difficult to find other threads for discussions on different topics.
It's not an excuse . . . it's a code to follow online to make things easier for everyone. Every online forum follows netiquette protocols and, if not abided, forum administrators are expected to resolve issues that arise. I'm trying to be polite in my messages but apparently I offended some people and now I'm being attacked. I agree that we live in a selfish society but, contrary to what seems popular opinion, I am trying to help. I posted a link to a thread that's dedicated to the daily secret words and it's a very useful thread to subscribe and simply view after 3pm when the secret word is posted. We all try to help each other. It's usually the same person who posts but sometimes others post it first.
By far the rudest comment. I'm trying to help the forums be an easier-to-use online experience. It's tedious to search through multiple threads with the same title, as I've already explained.
A legitimate concern that should be directed toward the programmers. I don't appreciate being used as a scapegoat to direct your anger. I agree with most of what you said. However, they don't "make you buy" oodles and/or tokens . . . it's merely an option. I receive an average of 1000 tokens (for free) simply by logging into GSN on a daily basis (sometimes 20,000 or more). I also receive at least 150 oodles each day by answering the trivia, more if I visit more often and complete the promotions.
No, I don't get paid for anything (except in oodles and tokens) but I do have a degree in computers so I have a better understanding of technology than most. Which includes proper netiquette.
It's not "little" and it's not a "clique." http://networketiquette.net/ is one example of a site dedicated to the code.
If I've offended anyone, I'm sorry. As I've explained, I'm just trying to keep the forums a bit cleaner so it's easier to find pertinent posts.
Not to mention netiquette, I just found this in the posted rules for the forums:Duplicate threads
Please read the first few pages to see if what you want to talk about is already being discussed. Duplicate threads will be deleted or merged with others. Feel free to report duplicate threads using the report post button. Please include links to both threads to be merged.

And, again, the post where the secret words are already merged:
