Million Dollar Password and 1 VS 100 got axed way before they should have been. Both of these great game shows deserved many more episodes.

MDP was also CBS' last attempt at a primetime game show, before CBS went on a primetime-game-show-strike, which still continues to this day, ever since MDP was cancelled 3 years ago.

Power of 10 was CBS' idea of a practical joke, just to see if Carey would work well as host of TPIR. CBS never intended for Power of 10 to last long and they made it a point to get rid of it as soon as Carey was moved over to TPIR.

Now, as far as recent game shows are concerned, I could see GSN acquiring Million Dollar Money Drop, Million Dollar Mind Game, Who's Still Standing and It's Worth What, but all of these game shows lasted 12 episodes or less, so GSN would run into the same problem that they ran into with Power of 10 and Million Dollar Password. Unless GSN only airs 1 episode per week, they'll be rerun-abused till who knows when.

Never knew about this. That's interesting CBS going on a "prime time game show strike" but it sounds just stupid. As for Power of 10, I probably could have guessed it if I thought about it some but I sure did like the show.

I honestly could not see GSN acquiring It's Worth What? and I wouldn't want them to. Any of those other shows is fine with me though, especially Who's Still Standing?

Well it wasn't advertised as a strike, but I'm calling it as such, because of what they've been doing recently.

MDP Season 2 was the last primetime game show on CBS, and it ended in 2009. CBS has not produced a single game show for primetime since then.

In 2010, CBS picked up a pilot for The Cube, but they passed on it due to the expense of producing the episodes.

In 2011, they picked up a pilot for Secret Fortune, and now they're using their new excuse of "We have no time slots available on our schedule for Secret Fortune to air."

Complete and utter nonsense, if you ask me. Two amazing game shows getting shoved to the sidelines intentionally, by the same network who cancelled Power of 10 in 2008 and MDP in 2009.

hey Lingofan97, have you ever thought of putting Greed (FOX) or The Weakest Link (NBC) on this list becuase those shows were acquired by GSN a long time ago.

I'm mainly talking about right now. But I would like to see those shows back, especially The Weakest Link

I hope GSN never makes a decision like that. They never have before where there were not enough episodes per series, so let's hope that holds. Million Dollar Password and Power of 10 were more interesting game shows though. I believe they had a little more than 10 or 12 episodes.

She was capable of hosting a game showish show like Dog Eat Dog but could have been worse

NO! GSN should never show Fear Factor. It would be the worst game show acquisition they would ever make. A network like MTV could acquire that show but NOT gsn.

In Southeast Michigan, Fear Factor reruns were aired for a few years (on Channel 20, a former affiliate of the now defuncted WB network)
