Wrong answer choices for Oodles bonus trivia

I don't know if I'm going crazy but for the question "If you were born the year that the Titanic sank, you were born in the Chinese Year of the _____." it gives these choices:
    Dog
    Ox
    Pig
    Bird

As far as I can see by checking multiple websites the answer given is Rat. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

I was hoping some one would give me the answer because I am getting rat also from every website I visited!

At least I feel better that someone else is having the same problem. I've had this type of thing happen before, too. Not good.

Ok my husband guessed at it and the answer is Pig. Go for it!!

Yeah since they didn't have rat listed on the answers, i went with pig (apparently the chinese new year doesn't start till January 21st)

Glad I wasn't the only one. The question was just too general and caused a lot of confusion. Not the first time and probably won't be the last. I am sure those questions take a lot of time to research for the Staff.

I agree they were wrong. Since the Titanic sank on April 14, 1912, it sank during the Year of the Rat which started on Sunday, February 18, 1912. A majority of the population would have been born after February 18th, so the answer should have been the Rat. It makes more sense.

Thanks to all for the answer! Maybe it's a good thing rat wasn't a choice...it would have been wrong according to GSN.

First off, look up the exact date the titanic sank which was on April 15, 1912. On February 18, 1912 was the Chinese New Year, so the Titanic sank in the year of the PIG

    Hope this helps.

Awhile back I noticed a question without a correct answer to choose from and emailed GSN (bttm of page under corporate list) and they credited me the 50 tokens. Maybe they'd do the same for such a confusing question.
