USA vs. The World!
I've noticed over the years that several game shows have been ported over from UK's popular versions and turned into primetime successes in the United States.
I know that Wipeout isn't really considered a Game Show, but there is a competition aspect to it. What I noticed was that the US version is so much more funny to watch than the UK version, which seems to drag on and the jokes seem dull.
That's pretty much the only show that airs both versions in the US at the same time, but a foreign shows that worked out better, imo, was The Weakest Link. Anne Robinson certainly made the show very fun to watch in both US and UK versions.
I know we have enough Family Feud to go around, but I would love to see episodes of Family Fortunes to air on perhaps maybe a specialty channel out here, such as BBC US (or BBC Canada).
Are there any shows from overseas that you think would work here in North America?

BBC America used to air UK daytime Weakest Link years ago, but it didn't last for too long for whatever reason. They also aired the first season of the UK Gladiators revival about a year after its debut. S2 never made it over. Somehow I doubt they'd be interested in trying again; much of the schedule is devoted to either sci-fi programming (Doctor Who, Primeval, Being Human, etc., all of which are pretty big draws), almost anything made by Gordon Ramsay, and Top Gear.
Anyway, I think a proper US version of The Cube would work here, too.
