I don't know if it has anything to do with "New" being in the title. Most likely, they haven't determined what episodes are going to air yet, or at least haven't added them to their scheduling system yet. So the "new" probably just means "new to GSN". The only other times I've seen episode numbers not listed on PDF's was when new originals were debuting, though in those cases they were listed as "TBA". In any case, the more I think about it, it seems very likely that they're getting different episodes, or else they'd just list the episode numbers with no problem. Plus, the fact that they've been skipping around a lot lately makes me think that they've reached the maximum number of times that they can air these episodes. I seem to remember that they also skipped around like this in the weeks before their lease of the 1985-86 episodes expired, or maybe I'm thinking of another Sony show that they leased, but in any case the scenario sounds familiar.

Are you perhaps referring to the 100k Pyramid? If so, you might be thinking of the 1986-87 season which they ran for a few cycles several years ago. I believe it was from 2005-2008?, IIRC. And I think you are right, they did skip around in the 86-87 season of 100k after so many times of airing the same episodes before they pulled the show from the regular schedule.

Hm, I remember in 2008 something similar happened with Jeopardy! with the 2001-2002 season. Maybe we're in for something?

Does it depend on what GSN can afford from Sony?

I'm sure someone will come in and explain it to me, but I don't understand why GSN would have to afford anything from Sony, considering Sony owns the majority of the network.

I mean, why make your left hand pay your right hand, especially for something like game shows that are going to otherwise sit around the vaults?

Anyway, hope it's a new 200+ episodes of 25K... maybe an early season.

True. They probably don't know what episode or even what season they will purchase. It also says new in the Friday night block too. I hope this time, GSN leases more than one season. So in this case, one season would air weekdays at 10:30am and then again at 3:00am, and then the second season Friday nights. But, that will most likely not happen.

As far as I know, the $100,000 Pyramid is gone from GSN because of their upcoming series of $100,000 Pyramid episodes.

Did we get the 2001-02 season of Jeopardy?

Many years ago (2005-2008) that season was aired.

Another note, I just saw the PDF's, they have a column N/R. N = New to GSN, R = Been shown before. It says R, so, who knows?

On one of the spaces on one day it says new but the other ones in says repeat. If it's just new to GSN, it would still say "R". If its a new episodes of Baggage, then it would say "N". Password Plus and Super Password both have the "R" next to them, even though they are new to GSN right now

But those episodes have been rerun at one point or another on GSN.

The other poster is right. The "N" means "New Episode". The "R" means that it is a "Rerun". Those really won't tell you anything in this situation.

Where the Hell is Mr. Abell when you need him?
It's his blog and he probably knows all the answers.

I can tell you what he will say. "Don't trust the PDF's".

Yeah, that's what I meant. And now that Chameleonwhammy mentions it, I do also remember that happening with Jeopardy!.

It would seem that if GSN is jumping to the final episodes of what they had leased, it would stand to reason that they picked up the remainder of the 1985-86 season and the start of the 1986-1987 season to continue where they left off in the Janis Paige/Michael Spound week. However, it could very well be another season. I would prefer 1983-84 or 1984-85 myself. Those time frames feature the final appearances of Billy Crystal and Michael J. Fox (two great game players), as well as a number of appearances from Bill Cullen. They were also just great episodes in general. I'll watch any season for sure, but either of those would be excellent.

I'd prefer to see the range of episodes with the June 5, 1987 episode included - because of Bill Cullen's final television appearance ever. But I am happy with whatever season GSN airs.

And guess what I just discovered on the PDF? It's an "N" in daytime, but an "R" in late night! This may be good news for Pyramid fans across the board after all!

And it doesn't display the show title as "The New $25,000 Pyramid", so chances are they may end up picking up the 1986-87 season of "The $25,000 Pyramid" after all!

Then again, I could be dead wrong. But the episode numbers will likely appear sometime - it's just not shown, as there may still be paperwork going on, and the episode numbers are not confirmed yet until the lease is signed.
