We can usually tell from the celebrities, unless its Markie Post since she's been on a dozen times.

GSN did do a Sunday marathon in September 2008 - it was the Play It Back 80s Marathon. They aired Card Sharks episodes from February 1988 that were not shown since 2003 (man, I regret not recording those episodes!), plus Press Your Luck (all 1984 episodes, including Michael Larson's then-record-breaking win, a random episode from July 1984, and the close of Chris Kaas' run), and choice episodes of $25,000 Pyramid from GSN's first lease - from 1982-83.

Remember back in August GSN aired specials called Play it Back 70's, Play it Back 80's and Play it Back 90's? I wish they would show those again as a special this summer. Those are the types of GSN specials that usually do well for the network. Down the road GSN should do a Pyramid special, a special with The Newlywed Game and a special of Chuck Woolery and leasing some of his game shows. I would watch those

In the mean time this always comes in handy: http://www.fortunecity.com/lavendar/...8/25kceleb.htm

Also, generally speaking: in the earliest episodes of $25k, the set was a bit darker and the winner's circle boxes were blue instead of white.

I also believe in the first episodes of $25,000 Pyramid there was no 7-eleven either, or maybe that came earlier in time

    7-11 debuted in early 1983.

Wrong. The Mystery 7 was on the show, it was just not hidden.

The hidden type appeared in 1984.

PDFs through June 3rd are up at Casey's blog now. All $25k Pyramid airings even in the new PDFs still have "new" listed in the episode number slot, with no celebrities indicated. It's looking like we'll just have to wait and tune in next Monday at 10:30 AM and find out for ourselves what the story is.

Yeah, I saw this as well. I'd tune in on Monday at 10:30am, if your a fan of Pyramid. And I still have a pretty strong feeling they will be different episodes. Why would they keep listing "New" in the episode information through June 3rd? As someone else said earlier in this thread, they would just list the episode number like normal if it was the same season. My guess is that they are still sorting out the episode number information with the celebrities. I mean it can take time. And maybe its not their highest priority to get it done right away.

One thing I will say is pretty certain is that whatever episodes come up on Monday, unless something else changes, they will likely air those episodes for 3 years or so if it is like the last lease of 25k Pyramid.

I saw the pdf's too, but between now and June 5th I would expect some sort of schedule changes. Come Monday at 10:30am I'll just have to see what's happening

That looks like what we will have to do is wait till Monday. We may be pleasantly surprised, or some people are going to be uber pissed.

If you expect nothing, anything else is a positive. That's how I feel about it. They havent changed anything else so I'm not holding my breath I'll see anything new is airing when I read this on Monday.

If this actually happens, this will be a "historic" year for GSN when it comes to classics in recent history. Within a period of six months we've gotten Super Password, Password Plus, and possibly a new season of The $25,000 Pyramid. I bet we'll get another lease on something later this year.
