Different eps. of $25K Pyramid coming?

Donnymid and Karn Feud both are on the fringe (depending on opinion) since both started in 2002. Personally, I don't think either is a classic, but compared to stuff like Catch 21 or Chain Reaction (which is also shown in the ad I believe), they qualify more.

As for schedules, phimat's better, for no other reason that it doesn't have Carnie's Newlywed Game.

Carnie's The Newlywed Game I thought was better than Sherri's, and more appropriate. But, a show from 10 years ago isn't a classics. Shows from about 2002-2005 should be considered GSN originals classics, like Lingo and Whammy! But anything BEFORE 1990 is a classic at this period of time

I didn't care for Carnie's version much, not that I even pay attention to The Newlywed Game anyway. But Sherri Shepherd is a better host, I think.

Hmm...maybe I just liked the format of the show better with the announcer and the set, and a better audience then Sherri's current season

Getting this thread back on topic, now the online schedule is showing Donnymid on Friday night. The 25,000 Pyramid is still scheduled for next week at 10:30.

They keep pushing it back, who knows whats going on? Have they already gotten Donnymid's ratings for the first couple days at 10:30 and made the Friday night decision? Or maybe the episodes still aren't ready yet?

I just saw a Buzzerblog post come up on my Facebook about this, so apparently Dick is gone from Friday nights, at least for now. I know his ratings have been struggling (and I believe the rerun abuse is largely to blame for that), but I think they're jumping the gun with Donnymid a bit here. The upside is, at least it isn't more Feud. Just sayin'....

Anyhow, I think the block scheduling needs to go. They would get much better ratings across the board if they showed a little bit of everything. Two a day for each incarnation of a show is plenty...that's a slate of at least (roughly) 20 different shows for Monday-Friday, plus whatever is shown just on weekends.

That's what I've been saying. I made prime time schedules for every day in the "What Should GSN do with the Schedule?" thread. At least there is a little bit of everything on there.

I hope GSN isn't just teasing us about $25K returning on Monday. But admittedly, $25K hasn't been doing well on Friday nights, and it might be worthwhile to give Donny a try.

Not sure why they keep making these last minute decisions. If $25,000 Pyramid is leaving then so be it, but I just wish they wouldn't dangle the carrot under our nose, and then all of a sudden disappoint us by making a last minute decision and replacing everything with Donnymid.

We'll see what happens this Monday; I was hopeful for the return of $25K Pyramid, but I'm playing it on the slightly pessimistic side and preparing for disappointment at this point.

I wonder which episodes of Donnymid will air Friday night?

Amen to that. The way GSN is replacing $25,000 Pyramid with Donnymid - twice over now - I wouldn't be shocked if next week's $25,000 Pyramid airings are replaced with Donnymid as well.

But if ratings for Dick Clark's episodes were doing badly since April, it makes sense to give such version a rest.

I think this whole thing is getting very stupid now. Make up your friggin minds, air it, and leave it alone! I don't think I have ever seen a television network operate like this one that decides towards the end of one week what they'll air the following one. No warning. No commercials. No promotion. Nothing. They just spin their programming wheel and where it stops that what they show. If Clark's gone, I wish they'd just update everything to reflect this. As it is though, I still think they will be back Monday...or next Friday....or three weeks from now....or whatever they decide because GSN is being run by a bunch of people who more and more look like they have no idea what they are doing.
