Sundays: The day of Deal or No Deal, Family Feud and 5th Grader

Yes, all three of those shows have proven good numbers for GSN, but in the course of 12 hours that's all the GSN schedule is on Sundays. From 1pm (ET) to 1am, we only have Deal or No Deal, Family Feud, 5th Grader and then back to Family Feud and Deal or No Deal again late nights.

I also noticed on the Saturday schedule. In the course of 12 hours all we have is Deal or No Deal, The Newlywed Game and Family Feud from 1pm to 1am.

I just thought this was something to bring up. Both days in the course of 12 hours GSN only air 3 different shows. I was looking at my T.V. schedule any I noticed this. I just think weekend afternoon schedules could use some shows like Catch 21, Chain Reaction, Woolery Lingo, Baggage, $25,000 Pyramid and even Jeopardy!, but the prime time blocks can stay as long as they get limited to four hours (both nights)

On a similar note, from Monday-Wednesday, it's nothing but Family Feud, Newlywed Game, and Baggage between 4 PM and 1:30 AM. And on Saturdays, it's those same three shows exclusively for twelve full hours, from 3 PM to 3 AM. GSN's current tactic seems to be running what does best in bulk. Doesn't make for exciting viewing in my book, but if it's the only way for them to get good ratings, so be it.

You're forgetting that Engvall Lingo airs right after 5th Grader from 11 PM to 12 AM.

To echo phimat on your similar sounding Feud post, this is GSN we're talking about. This is their standard MO, and they're not changing it. So don't ask for more shows to be shown in those timeslots; you're wasting your time.

You're forgetting that Engvall Lingo airs right after 5th Grader from 11 PM to 12 AM.

That gets replaced by Family Feud (Harvey) next week Sundays at 11pm and 11:30pm

You're right. It's like having a car with four bad tires and no spare; eventually, there will be a blowout (i.e. people will start to reject the "preferred" shows), and they won't be prepared for it.

I liked playing it when I was younger...but I'm not really thinking about it here on GSN forums.
