I don't have a pet, but my mother did have 3 cats and a dog for a while. The cats names were Allie, Sabrina and Sallie, and the dog's name is Jazzie. Sallie was born in July 1998 - Sabrina gave birth to her, though my mother didn't know it was coming because my mother took Sabrina in as a stray. Sadly, Sallie passed away last September - her kidneys failed. But Sallie was the cutest of my mother's cats, and it is sad to see her go, but I had wonderful times with her and I am happy for that. Allie just turned 15 recently, and Sabrina's age is not known, though I suspect her to be around the same age as Allie, maybe even 16. Jazzie will be 9 in October.

Our family's adopted 'stray' cat answers to, "It's Okay" because we all used to calmly say that to her while we would feed her in the yard, and then she just seemed to really like hearing it, so now it's her name. We also have a small dog we call "Kiki." And yes, the 2 pets are friends.

Question: Any pet owners name a pet, "Lucky," and if so, was it really a 'lucky' pet, or was the opposite to be the case?

We have a little dog named "Oakley" (yup...after the brand...we are looking for a dog tag that has the symbol, if anyone knows where we can find one)

Our first pet, a cat dropped off by a friend, was named Sukiyake. I was determined to turn that beast into that delicious dish. Turns out, I'm not a cat person. We now have 4 dogs... 1st daughter wanted a dog but was moving soon: guess what? Dog left with us. (Ginger) 2nd dog, rescued from puppy mill( staffordshire terrier and had delivered 10 litters and no one wanted her) (Jenna 3rd dog, son of Ginger; (she jumped the fence and got preggers! Our son wanted him as he was the only boy in a litter of eight!) Kai... last dog belongs to my youngest child who married, divorced and came home... with the dog. Karma is what happens when smart people breed stupid purse dogs... she's a mini-pom who has no brains but a helluva lotta love. They are all perpetual toddlers but I love each of them... even the purse dog...

We have a cat named Loki, Lokifer(like lucifer) for long, she's not very nice. And our dog's name is Joey because she looked like a baby kangaroo as a pup which is kind of ironic being that's she's an Australian kelpie. My koi's names are Pesty and Milo, can't leave them out.

BjobSecur1: What a sweet story, most of my family's pets have been strays. They make the best pets because they really do appreciate your kindness and pay ya back tenfold with all the love one could ask for.

My first two cats were Scully (yes, after Dana) and Murphy...Scully was part Russian Blue, part Tuxedo, and part tabby, and Murphy was a HUGE tuxedo. I lost them within 6 months of each other (RIP) - I guess they just missed each other!

Now I have Mimi (10/f), who is a Norwegian Forest Cat (similar to a Maine Coon), Lucy (5/f), who is a solid black British Bombay, and Kit Kat (3/m), who is a 20 lb. Tuxedo. All three of them are very chatty and very energetic, so you can imagine that it's pretty crazy around my house sometimes.

Starwheel do you show your cats? Your Norwegian Forrest cat sounds beautiful. It blows me away, all the different varieties there are.
