Missed Opportunity on Wheel of Fortune

Sick and Tired of prize puzzles being trips. Prize Puzzles should be of electronics or other quality goods. On tonight's episode (5/2), one of the puzzles was Pan-Fried Boneless Pork Chops.
Now that would be an exciting prize puzzle!

The thing I hate about the prize puzzles is the fact that unless someone wins the car or the final spin hits the $5,000 it pretty much is a guaranteed win.

Wheel of Fortune puzzles at times I think are starting to make less and less sense

The Pork Chops one sounds more like a Zonk on Let's Make a Deal.

Has the puzzle "Ceramic Dalmatian" been on yet?

Oh I saw that, also, she guessed too early ( it wasn't a prize-puzzle) so if she had said "S" she would have had extra 3x the amount!

Honestly, I think they should be trips. Does Wheel of Fortune want to get less money for a smaller sponsor, when they could advertise a trip from a big resort.

From what I've seen, which is only two or three episodes a week, Prize Puzzles don't mean automatic wins, not with all the bonus prizes on the wheel now.

Didn't they try to add different prizes into the Prize Puzzle a few years ago? I remember Pat announcing that it would not always be trips. But I think it lasted a week or two.

It's the same trips over and over again. The puzzle might be "Sun drenched beach" or "Giant ocean waves" and of course that would mean a trip to Hawaii or one of the Caribbean islands.

If they had a puzzle like "Indoor plumbing outdoors" that would mean a spa or jacuzzi. Or if the puzzle dealt with electronics, they could give away some SONY products.

What I think Wheel Of Fortune should do with these Prize Puzzles to make them more exciting is to give a contestant a chance to win a prize by having a puzzle with something I think Wheel Of Fortune would be happy with and the idea I think would work would be called Lucky Letter Puzzles and how they would work is anytime a contestant would spin the wheel Jim Thornton would announce the lucky letter of the day. Like for example let's say Jim Thornton announces "Today's Lucky Letter Puzzle will feature the letter T if T is found in the puzzle one lucky contestant will win an amazing prize" and if the prize puzzle was based on a popular phrase or place like if you solved the phrase "Right On Target you would win a $20 Target Gift Card or if the puzzle was a place like "Supermarket" you would win a gift card to a supermarket chain such as Kroger Safeway Winn-Dixie or Ralph's and believe me these new prize puzzles would be so good for Wheel Of Fortune,

Some of the trips they show are also to low-class countries which I wouldn't like

Yes, that did indeed happen, but I'm pretty sure that concept lasted only one episode. Obviously the production team realized "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

The entire "prize puzzle" concept lends many important elements to the game.

The prize is always a trip related to the puzzle. That in and of itself is a giant clue as to the answer to the puzzle. Because of this, the prize puzzle is often the easiest puzzle to solve on the entire episode. The prize puzzle is usually a long phrases about "doing something". There is almost always an "ing" in the puzzle. It is usually an activity. It always relates to some vacation-type destination: "lounging under a palm tree", "skiing down a snow covered mountain", etc.

But the MAIN reason the Prize Puzzle round is so important, is that it AUTOMATICALLY puts at least $6000 into every player's scoreboard BEFORE the round even begins. Most players seem to not comprehend this. Therefore very few players play the Prize Puzzle round with the proper strategy (buy ALL the vowels as soon as you have the cash to do so, because you already have $6000 sitting in front of you even though it isn't posted for you to see).

The worst thing the players do with much frequency is "forget" that it is a prize puzzle. Often they even shout that out after solving the puzzle. "Oh my god I forgot that it was a prize puzzle" Forgetting that one is playing the prize puzzle round is a gigantic "rookie" mistake. It's like an error in baseball.

Just to repeat the importance of the The Prize Puzzle Round: ALL three players BEGIN the round with at least $6000 already on their scoreboard. If you are a future contestant on the show, DO NOT forget that!

I love the Prize Puzzle concept, but I wish they would spice up the prizes. Like work in some good electronics and stuff to go along with the trips and alternate between them or something. It's owned by Sony; I'd imagine getting decent electronic prizes shouldn't be that hard.

Any Arab country, whether or not any game show ever had a trip to it.
