Star Wars is 100 times the Star Trek franchise in all the wrong categories.

The last one alone is enough reason to never be a fan of the Star Wars franchise. Scare off all the girls and die alone as a miserable old man saying "Do or do not. There is no try" in a swamp somewhere.

Truth is not always affable or polite. Someone had to break it to the Star Wars fanbase that the series sucks and naming a day after it is even more lame. And by more lame, I'll use this analogy: if the movie series is an ice cube, then "Star Wars Day" is the planet Hoth.

Yeah, I kinda thought that. I was going to ask her to extrapolate, but then I realized that if she already has this opinion of me, asking for an explanation would be counter-productive. Her opinion isn't going to change, and it's not worth hearing more complaining for something when in reality, I'm just an honest person.

I'm reminded of a phrase "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything". Yet when I stand up for something like saying that Star Wars sucks, this is what happens...

I have to agree with you. I enjoyed every version of Star Trek until Enterprise came along.
