Very Disappointed With New Mahjongg Alchemy Leaderboard!

Well, my major way of earning oodles has been taken away. I would regularly rank in the top 5 of the Mahjongg Alchemy leaderboard and it was a Top 75. Which means I would make 400 oodles or more a day from playing just this game.

It is now a Top 300 and the rewards for the top spots have been drastically reduced.

I have no problem with them extending the board, but why punish the players who have spent countless days and months perfecting their skills by awarding less oodles for the top spots?

Well, it's certainly not worth it anymore for me to try to get a really good score. The difference now between the top ranks and the lesser ranks is minimal and not worth the time to get a really good score.

I'm VERY sad and disappointed.

yeah they pick n choose who is gonna win every day i play all day long i'm disabled and its fixed when its a competition your rank in any game is always way higher cant get near your rank unless its for oodles and then too like you said its always higher whats goning on winnie winster retired that was a big blow to all now you splitting too?

I'll still play here but I wrote a letter to GSN explaining how this change makes no sense from their standpoint.

I would play for HOURS until I got a good game to rank high at the end of the day. I would get 400-500 per day for my efforts. Now, even if I get the top score, I'll only get 200 oodles and for the lower spots, the difference is minimal. So, why would I spend so much time for 15 oodles? Now, I can play a few games and be assured of 85 or 100 oodles and I'm not going to make the effort to get higher.

And now, even the Monthly and Weekly Boards are worth the SAME as the Daily one. How does that make sense? So, there's not even a reason to try for those oodles.
That means I will be watching far less advertising since I won't be playing so many games.

I'm just really upset at this new development. Like I said, I have no problem including more players and expanding the board, but why should the loyal, dedicated players who have practiced and honed their skills over YEARS be penalized? It just doesn't make any sense to me.

I agree 100%. It looks like that is the same w/the leaderboards for all the games. I was the same way w/Eggz & Straws. I would play for hours to get a very good (top 5 score.) Now why bother? I can play a few times & get a top 15-20 score, the incentive to shoot for a really high score just isn't there, when there is so little difference in oodles earned. But on the plus side, it saves me a lot of time, lol. And to make the daily, weekly & monthly leaderboards all worth the same amount is kind of insulting.

That's what I really don't understand. Why would the Weekly and Monthly be the same as the Daily? It makes no sense at all. Why have them then? Yeah, no reason at all to keep playing.... once I get (what I would consider) just an average score, I quit playing because for 15 or 25 oodles, it's just not worth the time. I'm still so bummed about this.

Sorry Squish.. I just noticed the change myself...(Although, it doesn't effect me much, I am so less talented than you at MA..

Actually, for you Rose, the change might have been a positive one. The 11-20 place scores are actually higher amounts on the extended leaderboards. It's just the Top 10 that really lose out.

So, you may be faring BETTER now!
