Great! If they leased the next 200 episodes, then we should be seeing the 1,000th show.

I'll be sure to remember to record the late night repeat. Good job, GSN.

Great news for sure! I had the TV on this morning expecting to watch Donnymid, but 25k came on instead. That was a surprise, considering the (usually reliable) online schedule showed Donny for this morning.

Anyway, It does look like they are picking up from where they left off in June 1986 with Michael & Janis. Now, this is just my theory, but I believe it was probably easier for GSN to just continue on from the last package they had, instead of maybe going back to 1983 or 1984. Who knows how many episodes they leased for this time and for how long? If it's like the last package then 200 episodes for 3 years, but that could have changed. We will have to wait and see. And I wouldn't be surprised to see an updated PDF soon with the episode numbers filled in for 25k Pyramid, instead of "new".

However, I will say it is a little interesting they are continuing on from where they left off. Because in the past, they've had a tendency to jump all over the place with seasons of Sony shows and not really air them in order. Wheel Of Fortune is one example. A few years ago, they aired the 1994-95 season, but before that they aired the 1988-89 season I believe. But maybe in 25k Pyramid's case, it was just easier for them to continue from where they were in the run. Hey, maybe it's possible they are planning to finish off the series, and go forward all the way to the final 25k Pyramid show. You never know.

Also later on in 1986, according to the episode guide the $75,000 limit comes into play as well.

Wow, great to hear, especially considering what sounds like "new" episodes are now being shown. I've been watching one episode each (week)day online, posted by people who have generously loaded their collections, so that's filled the void for the past two weeks. Anyway, I'll be very happy to see this tonight.

    Thank you, GSN...

Well, I'm glad to see the whole thing with the "new" episodes appears to have come to fruition. I was watching Password Plus this morning, and I expected to see Donnymid follow it, so I was pleasantly shocked when I saw the flashback intros for $25K Pyramid come on. I quickly started to record the episode as it came on, and am looking forward to recording the next 200 or however many they may have picked up.

Assuming they did pick up the next 200 eps starting with the 6/20/86 episode, I'm looking forward to all the episodes this new package has to offer; the 1000th show, another appearance by Bill Cullen (in July 1986 alongside Lois Nettleton), the initiation of the $75,000 limit (in September 1986), and I think the package should go into February 1987 as well, which included the all-star week with Teresa Ganzel, Earl Holliman, Shelley Smith, and Henry Polic II, so that should be a treat to see.

We also have the potential to see some rare celebrities that we didn't see at all in the 1985-1986 package such as Cyndy Garvey (8/86), Danny Breen (8/86), Meredith McRae (9/86), Audrey Landers (8/86), Leann Hunley (10/86), Ed Nelson (11/86), Lynn Redgrave (11/86), Millicent Martin (9/86), and Rita Moreno's last appearance (9/86).

These eps haven't been seen in over 20 years, and I'm more than grateful that GSN appears to have picked them up.

BTW, I'm formerly pyramidpower14. Couldn't get into my old account for some reason, so I created a new one. Notice the very similar username.

You could have fooled us into thinking there was a franchise going like those old generic pro wrestlers. Gladiator 1, Gladiator 2, Gladiator 3, Terminator 1, etc.

This is nothing but good news, but the only chance to see The $25,000 Pyramid will be on Friday nights. $25,000 Pyramid is back with new episodes I've never seen before, and it is assumed these episodes have never aired on GSN before. Wow this is great.

Can't believe why Donnymid had a short stay on the network. Welcome back, Clark Pyramid. Hope you stay here permanently.

Why only Friday nights? It airs every weekday at 10:30 AM and 3:00 AM.

I'm glad to see it back on the schedule. Let's hope this is more than just a temporary thing.

I would still like to see Donny's Pyramid on the schedule somewhere, even if it's just a couple slots on the weekend. I would prefer that GSN airs Donny's Pyramid weekdays at noon and weekends at 1pm and 1:30pm

I work and I sleep, and I don't really tape shows

WOOHOO Glad there are some new episodes. The ratings will hopefully increase too... which $25,000 is already the highest rated classic. We can see why GSN is reviving Pyramid

Whenever Douglas or Douglas' distant cousin post the weekly ratings, I can't wait to see how Pyramid fared as a replacement.
And I agree with the previous posts, Pyramid would make a good addition to the weekend lineup (if it were to come back), replacing one of the Whammys (preferably the 9:30am showing).

Edit: According to GSN's official Facebook feed:
Need some $25,000 Pyramid in your life? This week, we’re bringing you episodes that have never before aired on GSN! Check them out weekday mornings at 10:30/9:30c and on Friday starting 7/6c.

It would be great is Pyramid aired at Noon following Woolery Lingo at 1pm because, do we really need Deal or No Deal at 1pm? It hasn't done much since GSN put it there and GSN put it there when Deal or No Deal was actually popular on the network and it still didn't get good ratings at 1pm.

Deal or No Deal is better for weekends, I think. I do kind of agree maybe Pyramid could maybe replace one of the Whammy's. I say the 10am one maybe, but 9:30am would be good too. That wouldn't be such a bad schedule.
