Well, I don't know what to think. Dawson has proven he cannot start out the day. So I expect Match Game to die there. Looks as if Password Plus is failing so there kind of giving it a throwaway slot it looks like. Good to see The $100,000 Pyramid back. Although this brings up questions why they used Donnymid instead of that. I like Chain Reaction, but not that early in the morning. I think they could've kept Match Game there.

Pretty good change for the mornings. The best thing about the change is the Pyramid hour at 10am. 25k has had a good long history at that slot with good ratings, so with 100k joining it should be a good hour. Also, Jeopardy! at 12pm is also a great addition. At least it should get some better ratings there. Not so sure how Chain Reaction will do at 11:30am against TPiR, but we'll see. Their track record with airing GSN originals and modern shows in the 11am hour isn't that great. Examples: Bingo America, Whammy!, Catch-21, Hollywood Squares.. etc.. all didn't last for too long in the 11am hour. Who knows, maybe Chain Reaction will do alright.

Also, I would expect a new season of 100k. It was leased the same time as 25k, and I believe the lease expired in April when it went away. As for Jeopardy!, didn't they lease the current season (2005-06) the same time as the Pyramid's? In that case, maybe they got a different season for it as well. We'll have to wait until updated PDF files are released to find out.

I assume you mean you expect Family Feud to die there.

Look, anything coming out of an infomercial is going to bomb whether they end at 8,9,10 or 4pm. That's why reruns and all follow them. No network puts any real stock in that time. This is why when I created my schedule a few weeks ago I had 8-9 or 8-10 being a couple of newer shows and had them rerunning later in the day. So, if nothing is going to work what would you like to be there? Why would this mean they are trying to get rid of him? Seems like they are putting a show that based on numbers doesn't do well and see if it draws about the same. If it does or it's just a small decrease, they succeeded. Match Game still performs reasonably well, so why keep running it into the ground by showing it several times in the morning when you're just showing the same 400 episodes over and over.

One more thing to remember, no matter what the numbers say for the next couple of weeks take it with a grain of salt. I'm sure GSN isn't going to fall over themselves breaking records of swiftness in getting this info out to people watching on TV. So, people have to find these shows at their new times AGAIN!

    I expect both to die.

If GSN doesn't acquire new Match Game episodes soon, it certainly will die, which would be a shame.

If it was failing, I don't think GSN would be giving it two more slots on weekends, where no other classic airs.

Some very good schedule changes. When they mix the mornings up, I usually like the changes. 95% good changes here. I just wish GSN would have kept the 8am Match Game hour. Dawson will absolutely bomb at 8am, and the 8am MG was a good lead in to the 8:30am episode. Match Game has done well recently in the 8am hour. But moving Password Plus to the 9am slot will do better than Dawson, and will probably boost ratings for the rest of the morning unlike Dawson did. I'm sort-of glad GSN is keeping Karn in the mornings. He does better than Dawson, and should still do well between Password Plus and $100,000 Pyramid.

The new $25,000 Pyramid lease this past week was great, but the return of $100,000 Pyramid, in its own Pyramid hour is great. I'm not so thrilled about Chain Reaction at 11:30am. I think Whammy! would have done better there. Whammy! does well on weekend mornings. But who knows. Whammy! does well at 3pm. I think GSN could have kept Chain Reaction at 3:30pm, and air Lingo (Woolery) at 12:30pm and 3pm. At 3pm, we've seen 400K-like numbers for Woolery in the past year, then GSN took that slot away

I also like Jeopardy! replacing Lingo at noon. Woolery was doing poorly, but I think regular daytime viewers will watch Jeopardy!, even if it is the same season GSN has leased. I've always doubted Jeopardy! because it does badly everywhere else, but it's also had poor time slots.

**Also note on the GSN online schedule, The Newlywed Game (Shepherd) airs today (Tuesday) at 3:30pm and Karn Feud at 3:30pm on Wednesday. This is false. I just turned on the TV at Chain Reaction still airs at 3:30pm.

They both air at the same time on weekends. There must have been a mix up

They should just put Karn on at 8:00. No one at GSN will care if he bombs 1 out of 256 times a day.

I can assure that Karn will do better at 9:30am than he has been doing. My theory is that people who want to see Karn will stay tuned after Password Plus, but most Karn lovers were not Dawson lovers. That's where we always saw low ratings for Karn at 9:30am

You are assuming a large part of the audience watching PW+ will want to see Karn and Karns audience are all about watching PW+ beforehand.

I just think Dawson killed the 9am hour ratings. By all means Karn isn't going to do spectacular, but his numbers will probably be limited as well compared to other slots

I think you may be right. I have a hunch the lease to Match Game and Dawson's Feud may expiring in the coming months and those shows may be on the way out.

And if Match Game disappears from the schedule, it will be the first time in 14 years that there will have been no Match Game anywhere on the GSN lineup. But seeing I am not a fan of Match Game myself, I am not complaining. I will feel sorry for those Match Game fans, though - if it goes, it was a wonderful ride, that's all I got to say.

No Match Game in 14 years, that long?
