Thread: How the heck?

    Dumbville/Twitter/Facebook

I also miss Dumbville. I didn't get many oodles playing it myself (I guess I was "dumb", lol), and none of my friends would play against me. BUT the garbage grab was great! I would do that every day. I wish that would come back, or something like it. They have the "twitter reposts" for the message board games, but I (like many others I'm sure) do not use twitter. But I have facebook! What about a repost on facebook??

I too miss Dumbville. Like you, I didn't play the levels very much but Garbage Grab was great. I got several thousand oodles over the months... and I joined late. In fact, I joined Facebook just to play that. I had held out so long without being a member!

Oh, and I don't know if you were referring to Jesse3000 or the great Straws player, but I did private message Jesse3000 and never got a reply.

Sunny: I just spent several minutes going through the "Free Games Discussion" forum looking for all the Straws threads. I bumped up four of them. This one seems to be the most informative: http://www.gsn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2444

But the other three might have some pointers for you too: http://www.gsn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1748

I didn't read them all but maybe they'll help you some. Also, there might be another one on this Oodles Discussion board somewhere. I'll give quick look and if there is, I'll post that one too (and bump it up).

    Have a great night.
I just thought of something else. The weekly win-it pays a LOT of oodles. Yes, it's weekly, but still. I just played only one game of bookworm (this week's weekly win-it) and I'm not very good at it. Right now I'm in the range to win 700 oodles and we are allowed to enter 10 times at only a 5 oodle entry fee. That could be boosting his oodles up a lot, too.
Also, the people who are earning TONS of oodles per day or week can't possibly be working full time out of the house unless they are playing during work hours. I just got laid off a few weeks ago and am earning a LOT more oodles than normal. When I was working, I would never go to gsn.com at work and missed out on a lot of oodle opportunities. Not to mention, if I went somewhere after work, sometimes I didn't have time to even log on that day, or I would just log on and answer the QOD and WOD. That's a BIG difference than what I'm doing now. This guy could be out of work, or even a child out of school. Not to mention, some people just really kick b*tt at video games. I'm great at some, but not all. There are just some games I'm not good at, but my 8-year-old nephew blows everyone out of the water on every game he gets a hold of on any gaming system (i.e. Wii, DS, etc.) and he "beats" the games within a few days of getting them. Just something to keep in mind.

If you are a worldwinner member (only cash playing members), if you go to the discussion boards there, members share game playing tips with each other. On the main page of WW, go to "View My Benefits". Then go to "Message Boards". Then go to "Member to Member Help". The members are really nice about sharing tips on individual games and how to increase your score. Granted, the WW games are not the same as GSN games, BUT there is some overlap. And if you're a cash player, it will definitly help you. Typically, the members giving advice are top players who actually make money on WW.

Yeah, I got lucky on a Wheel of Fortune Weekly Win It and got 500 oodles for playing one game! It was a Winner Wednesday promo also so I was playing for that and they also had the Weekly Win It thing going on so, for the first time, I entered it. That one game happened to be my best game and I placed on the board. But it's only for the week... your best score is what you win for so that would be a maximum of what, 1,000 oodles for the week?

I'm not entirely sure how they work. I tried again with SwapIt (which I'm pretty good at) and entered all 10 times but couldn't place on the board. They happened to use one of the layouts that I don't like and aren't the best at.

Good for you with Bookworm! For only 5 oodles entry, I thought about trying my luck at that one this week. I might get lucky with a good game.

I wonder why the entry fees vary so much for those Weekly Win It tournaments?

When you say cash player do you mean in the premier club? I've played cash games in the past but i can't find the message board. I click view benefits and when it changes pages it say message board but there is nothing to click. If it is premier club member not sure i want to try and get that. Do you have to get 100,000 points to get the lifetime membership?
