1 vs 100 gone and replaced with more 25K Pyramid?
Could have been worse.... could have been replaced with more Feud.

You're probably right about that.
Since GSN picked up 1 vs. 100 and Deal or No Deal at the same time, it looks like GSN decided to renew the DOND lease, and not the 1 vs. 100 lease. It would make sense if they were both leased for three years.
I thought we would have had another 2 slots of Deal or No Deal
Are you kidding me? What a lousy decision on GSN's part. You're going to remove a game show that only airs 1 day a week, for a game show that already airs 5 DAYS A WEEK.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching Pyramid. But it's already on every weekday, in addition to a marathon on Friday nights.
The idea is supposed to be to increase variety, not decrease it. If you're going to renew the Deal or No Deal lease, then why not renew 1 VS 100 as well? The two shows practically go hand-in-hand.
Million Dollar Password is still airing every Saturday, and it only has 12 episodes in its run (compared to the 28 that 1 VS 100 had).
Very bad decision, I must say. 1 VS 100 is one of my favorite game shows, and it's getting the axe, just like Power of 10 did several weeks back. Unbelievable.
Right now, it seems like the majority of GSN's primetime schedule consists of Family Feud, Deal or No Deal and Pyramid. That's it.
1 vs. 100 was starting to slack in ratings around late last year. 1 vs 100 only had a couple dozen episodes, and those have been run through the schedule a bunch of times. I think people, including me were starting to lose interest in 1 vs 100, even when it did air. Down the road we could see Million Dollar Password going too, but that still pulls good numbers.
I doubt GSN would ever pull Deal or No Deal off of the schedule, but it has been cut back a lot lately. Power of 10 I was sad to see go. GSN only had the show air for one year, and Power of 10 continued to do very well in ratings. I wish GSN would have kept Power of 10 over 1 vs. 100 if I had to chose, since 1 vs. 100 had a three year run on the network already.
But adding The $25,000 Pyramid is only an UP for GSN. This is a sign of more classics coming back to weekends. The $25,000 Pyramid only airs 22 times a week now. That is more than Baggage and The Newlywed Game, but not nearly enough for overkill. GSN could have aired Deal or No Deal or Family Feud at noon and 1am, so I'm glad they made this decision (I'm not super happy 1 vs 100 is gone, but the schedule change they made was good)
