Thread: New pdfs

    New pdfs

Just got the pdfs from GSN for this week and the next three weeks. They're posted on the blog. Yeah, Harvey Feud gets another hour at 5:00PM for the week of June 4-10. If you're wondering why, check the viewer numbers for the last few weeks. The Nielsen Company will always speak much louder than any complaints around here about overuse. Beginning June 11, Catch 21 gets the hour at 4:00PM and O'Hurley gets a Feud run at 5:00PM, followed by Karn at 5:30PM. Then Harvey gets the 6:00PM hour.

The episode numbers for the new seasons of Jeopardy and 25K Pyramid are also available on the pdfs. As always, don't trust 'em.

Well, I can believe the episodes numbers. And now since they did put out new PDF's with the "new" 25k Pyramid shows, are you convinced now that Donny at 10:30 for two weeks was just a placeholder? Or do you really still think they were testing him at that slot to see if the ratings were any good? I think they could have put him on a afternoon slot, for example. Like 4pm, maybe.

Anyways, unless Dick Clark starts getting horrible ratings at 10:30, I think he will stick around. Why would they go though all the trouble to get new-to-GSN shows and then pull it? It doesn't make sense. A perfect example is Tic Tac Dough, a show that really didn't even get good ratings by older shows standards, they went through all the episodes they had leased at least once before they pulled it from the lineup.

I have no idea. I'm surprised 25K Pyramid is still on Friday nights, where the numbers have been consistently terrible.

Well, who knows? I think at this point if you like Clark Pyramid, be glad the network went out of their way to get fresh 25k shows that haven't been shown in over 20 years, even if it took a few weeks to get the episodes ready to air. And hey, the Friday night shows ratings have nowhere to go but up in most cases. I'd think positive about it. We'll see if more ratings are posted what happens.

Also, just FYI I don't think you mentioned that 25k Pyramid is on Sunday's at 12pm & 1am, replacing 1 vs 100 starting June 10.

    Yep, missed that one.

I personally think that 1 vs 100 should have stayed on at 12pm. They could have put 25k Pyramid on at 1pm, replacing one of the double run of Deal or No Deal, or even 11am replacing some extra Newlywed Game airings. I like 25k Pyramid, but I'll miss 1 vs 100. Yeah, it had a short run, but it was good show to watch on the weekends. Oh well.

Interesting that Catch 21 is getting the 4-5 hour weekday slot. I thought it had largely been ignored by the network. We'll see how that works out.

GSN probably lost the rights to 1 vs. 100. Just a thought, think about it. I mean, I'm probably sounding like someone who speculates this stuff, but GSN started to air 1 vs. 100 on June 6, 2009, IIRC. This Sunday is the last airing of it, since they don't air it on weekday, because the 6th is on a Wednesday. I don't mind The $25,000 Pyramid at Noon ET, though I do agree, maybe GSN could put Inaba's 1 vs. 100 at Noon (As I've been saying) and maybe replace the 2pm Deal or No Deal airing. Just a thought.

Mainly good changes. I like Catch 21 at 4pm, but I wish they would show different seasons. I never thought they were going to cut Karn in the 4pm hour yet. Harvey should still do well at 6pm, especially after the first hour of Family Feud. But I was hoping block scheduling would get dropped.

For the weekend schedule, I wish they would add some Super Password, Lingo and Pyramid (Osmond). I am VERY happy we are seeing an hour of The $25,000 Pyramid is GSN's weekend schedule during the daytime. The weekend schedule is pretty strong from 9am-11am, and then again from 2pm to around midnight on both days. Sherri does poor at 11am, so I wish we could see Super Password there. Another good word association game would be Lingo (Woolery) at 11:30am. Then we'd have MDP on Saturdays and the 25K Pyramid on Sundays at noon, and then replacing DOND would be Pyramid at 1pm and 1:30pm. That would be a good word association block...

    9:00am-11:00am: Same as now (P+ at 9am)
11:00am: Super Password (from GSN premiere)
    11:30am: Lingo (Woolery)
12:00pm: Million Dollar Password (Sat.) $25K Pyramid (Sunday)
    1:00pm: Pyramid (Osmond)
    1:30pm: Pyramid (Osmond)

    2:00pm: DOND

We don't know how Password Plus on weekends is doing yet. Can't say it's strong quite yet. Although I think the show is failing on weekdays Why else would they shove it an hour earlier?

As for the PDF's, thanks a ton.

Hopefully it won't be the lowest rated slot of the week like Jeopardy! We still haven't seen ratings for the week of May 14-20 and May 21-27
