    TPiRecap: 1 June 2012

    Just call me Nostradamus.

    Stats.

The end is in sight... just twelve more shows to go, not counting the possibility of a 4th of July or Back-to-School special.

Pick A Pair is WAY too easy to win. I really hate that game because whenever I suspect Cliffhangers (my favorite game), it always ends up being PAP. If it weren't for this game, the day would've ALMOST been a complete skunking. I all capped "almost" because of the $1,000 wheel spin and the electric guitar being won in More Or Less. To be honest with you, I was kind of hoping the day would be a complete loss. Don't ask why.

    Long live Pick-A-Pair!

Speaking of skunking, has there ever been a complete skunking* on this show in the Drew Carey era? Has it happened at all?

    * A complete skunking would be no winners in the six games (absolutely no prizes won, unless lowest amount is won in a game like Punch A Bunch), no correct bids in contestants row, no bonus spins with the wheel, and a double overbid at the end of the show.

That's more like "El Skunko" to some fans.

Let me just say that as a lifelong (almost) Mets fan, I am no longer depressed by today's result. 8,020 games later, the Mets finally get their no-hitter. And I couldn't be happier. XD

There has been an El Skunko in the Drew era...17 Dec. 2007 I think was the date...it was during that week.

There was also one in October 2008 or 2009...Halloween week.
    I'll be around.

That wouldn't quite fit XkaVader's definition, however, since on both of those occasions I'm reasonably sure there was at least a $1,000 winner on the Wheel, and in his question he specifically mentioned a show with no Bonus Spins.

Neither had an El Skunko, let alone a skunking (the 2009 had a $10,000+ win in Plinko, which does not count as a real loss), and a Showcase was won in each of them.
