GSN schedule changes poll

A lot of schedule changes have happened recently. I think they are all for the better, and have added a little more variety to the schedule. If some of you are not caught up, here are what schedule changes have happened/are going to happen between May 28 and June 11.

*Family Feud (Dawson) at 8am; replaced Match Game
*Password Plus at 9am 7 days a week; replaced Family Feud and Jeopardy!
*The $100,000 Pyramid at 10am, replaced Password Plus
*Chain Reaction at 11:30am; replaced Match Game
*Jeopardy! at noon; replaced Lingo
*Catch 21 at 4 and 4:30pm; replaced Family Feud (Karn)
*Family Feud (O'Hurley) at 5pm; replaces Family Feud (Harvey)
*Family Feud (Karn) at 5:30pm; replaces Family Feud (Karn)
*Family Feud (Harvey) at 6 and 6:30pm; replaces Family Feud (O'Hurley)
*$25,000 Pyramid at 12 and 12:30pm/1 and 1:30am on Sundays; replaces 1 vs 100

95% of these schedule changes are good for GSN. The only schedule change I slightly disagree with are the late afternoon schedule changes starting June 11th. Catch 21 does deserve more slots since GSN has produced hundreds of episodes of the show, but Karn and Harvey were rating winners from 4-6pm. Catch 21 could have just taken the whole 2pm hour in my opinion.

I've kind of lost enjoyment in Catch-21. I've never really cared much for the show for some reason, I mean, it's OK. It's a show I watch though. Honestly, I do disagree with them putting that on in the 4pm hour replacing Karn Family Feud, but I guess we'll see how it does. I say what they should have done was maybe a Woolery Lingo hour in the 4pm hour because, there was a time it did well when it aired in the 3pm hour. Catch-21 is an interesting change, however.

Good to see they're cutting down some on Feud though. It is my favorite game show airing on GSN right now and I enjoy it greatly, but it deserves a cut down. Glad it's still on in the afternoons though. As for The $25,000 Pyramid at Noon ET on Sunday, It would be nice if that followed Donny's Pyramid at 1pm and have them air it at 1pm. Because, Deal or No Deal does good, but I would kind of like that change maybe, cutting down on the Deal airings. I would say Deal would still air on Saturday for 2 double airings.

At Noon, instead of Jeopardy! on weekdays, They should try Donny's Pyramid for an hour at Noon, leading into maybe a double run of Jeopardy! maybe. Just a thought, or just have Jeopardy at 1pm and Lingo at 1:30pm.

But anyway, here's what I think for weekday for the schedule:

8:00am - Family Feud (Dawson)
8:30am - Family Feud (Dawson)
9:00am - Match Game
9:30am - Match Game
10:00am - The $100,000 Pyramid
10:30am - The $25,000 Pyramid
11:00am - Password Plus (May not do as well, but I'd see)
11:30am - Super Password
12:00pm - Pyramid
12:30pm - Pyramid
1:00pm - Jeopardy!
1:30pm - Jeopardy!
2:00pm - Catch-21
2:30pm - Lingo (Woolery)
3-4 stays the same
4:00pm - Lingo (Woolery)
4:30pm - Lingo (Woolery)
rest stays the same.

I think that's all I'd change.

For the most part, the changes aren't bad. They do need to give it time to work, though. These changes have been so frequent and sudden, you barely know what goes on day to day. Give it at least a few weeks, guys!

I'd still like to keep Woolery just once a day. Chuck's Lingo should leave the 12:30pm slot, and enter either the 2:30pm slot or a 4pm hour slot, where it does well mid-late in the afternoon. Pyramid (Osmond) would be fit after Jeopardy! at 12:30pm

The changes before 4 PM are all good, aside from maybe Chain Reaction at 11:30. I'm also glad they replaced one of Karn's afternoon airings with O'Hurley, and that they're at least backing away from the idea of airing three straight hours of Feud every day. I'm not so sure about the hour of Catch 21 at 4 PM though, and although I'm glad to see $25K Pyramid on the weekend, I wish it was replacing something else besides 1 vs. 100. Still, overall these changes are more good than bad.

Sad thing about Chain Reaction is that the 11:30am episode repeats at 3:30pm. And I wish The $25,000 Pyramid on weekends replaced Deal or No Deal, and they moved (and renewed lease to) 1 vs. 100 to 1pm Eastern.

GSN screwed up by putting Engvall Lingo and Inaba's 1 vs. 100 in the 3pm hour and in the 5pm hour Catch-21 and Engvall Lingo. But, it all started with them rerun abusing Engvall Lingo when it started. I think Engvall's Lingo could've lasted if they didn't rerun abuse. But, then again, they do this with almost all of their originals. I always keep bringing up the past because, there was a time when Woolery Lingo aired 4 times a day. 12pm, 12:30pm, 3pm, and 3:30pm. Correct me if I'm missing an airing, but I'm just saying.

It's rerun abuse basically. If they moved it to another time, it still wouldn't do that well I doubt. It's kind of like Who Wants to be a Millionaire? (Philbin) to me. It's gotten old and it's time for it to go, IMHO. Deal or No Deal did last quite awhile and does deserve the airtime, I think.

I love Match Game and am against anything that gives me less of it. But it seems as though GSN has been re-airing all the '74 episodes without moving on into other years.

Whammy! and Chain Reaction have done well, but IMHO they shouldn't have gotten rid of Woolery Lingo at 3pm and 3:30pm. And, I kind of was thinking that Chain Reaction at 11:30am and 3:30pm ET (Same episodes) could lower the 3:30pm ratings. But, if I watch Chain Reaction, it will be the 3:30pm airing. I think this was a dumb move on GSN's part.

Chain Reaction will at least be a good lead out after Super Password, but I think GSN should have started from the beginning of the Chain Reaction cycle, and leave the 3:30pm slot towards the middle-end of season 1.

And at this point, if Woolery just keeps the 12:30pm slot, fine by me. He only deserves 1 slot a day, even with hundreds of episodes. In the future, maybe they should move him into the 4pm hour (replacing Catch 21 in one slot)
