    Richard Dawson Tribute?

I am wondering if GSN is considering doing a tribute to the late Richard Dawson by airing some of his most memorable Family Feud and Match Game episodes in the coming week? I can certainly see it happening next weekend for sure.

It would be great to see Family Feud and Match Game episodes in his honor. GSN did this with Mr. Clark and the $25,000 Pyramid right after he passed away, so it makes sense to do the same in honor of the great Richard Dawson. Please GSN, do this for all of us. Do this for Richard Dawson and his family. Everyone would appreciate a Dawson marathon of some sort.

We just heard about Dawson's passing today (June 3). Let's give GSN a few days, I'm sure they'll honor Richard in some form.

Good idea, BillCullen1, you never know what GSN will come up with to remember him now that he died.

It would be too fast for GSN to announce a tribute today. I'd give it time. Maybe GSN will announce tomorrow or Tuesday a Family Feud marathon the weekend of June 9-10 and/or a Match Game marathon as well. Dawson deserves a lot better treatment than his 1 and a half** slots in the 8am hour right now.

*(Meaning Family Feud, and his appearances on Match Game)

Even though we already have so much Family Feud a week, in honor of Dawson's passing, GSN should air his Family Feud next Saturday from 9am-3pm, then his Match Game 9am-3pm on Sunday 6/10

There might be some blurb or something on MG and Family Feud tomorrow, but it's possible no one responsible for programming is around today. I'd expect something to at least be announced by tomorrow or Tuesday.

And if they do pretty much nothing, I'll say the same thing I said about MTV, VH1, and all the other so-called music oriented stations when Whitney Houston and Dick Clark died. If they couldn't pull their trash tv down to do some sort of tribute to them they had no business considering themselves "music" in any way. If GSN doesn't do a decent tribute to Richard Dawson who was known for game shows more than anything else, they can stop using "game" in any form when referring to themselves.

Tune in over here as we are doing a special tribute to Richard with some great episodes. If GSN doesn't do a tribute, we still have all these wonderful episodes to remember him by!

I actually do think GSN will do something, besides a small tribute during the week at 9am. GSN did something for Dick Clark for two hours a couple weeks ago when he died, so I would think we may see much more for Richard's death.

And sad to say, but I doubt GSN will already have a tribute for Richard early tomorrow morning

While I agree that GSN needs time to put something together (for obvious reasons), I'd keep my expectations low. Most likely, they'll simply pick some Feud and/or Match Game eps from the oft-beaten lease and leave it at that (same as the Pyramids after Clark passed). It's better than nothing, but just barely.

GSN doesn't do tributes like they used to do. At least they did something with Dick Clark but, still I'm not holding my breath.

Let me be more specific, when I say blurb what I meant was "GSN remembers Richard Dawson" or something to that effect on the screen during the Feud/MG airings tomorrow.

I never thought they'd have different shows, but they definitely should have a tribute and an extended one at that. Again, they say they are the place to go for games and they are the ones airing game shows. They may as well quit saying any of it if they don't do one.

if GSN does do a tribute to the late Richard Dawson with a mini Family Feud marathon i wouldn't mind seeing a few episodes from the 1994-1995 era throwned in for good measure along with episodes from the 70's and early 80's but of course it's never going to happen due to the TPIR contract issue from 2000.

I keep looking at the GSN online schedule to see if they are going to have anything planned. But we probably won't hear about it until tomorrow. I hope in the future GSN picks up different seasons of Family Feud, and a different season of when Richard was on Match Game. This would be a good reason to do so.

What does Family Feud have to do with anything?
