Classic Game Shows with Contestants Not Showing Their Names

I know of one game show where contestants never showed their name in any form. $25,000 Pyramid and $100,000 Pyramid, and any other version of Pyramid never had contestants wear name tags nor showed their names on the podiums.

    What are some other examples?

Just realized that Match Game from 1973 to 1982 had no name tags or contestants' names displayed on podiums. Match Game '90 did have contestants' names displayed in some form.

I'm thinking. Wheel of Fortune and Card Sharks both had name tags. Most game show hosts introduced the contestants, but were there names anywhere else? What about Tattletales?

Tattletales did show the contestants' names and their celebrity partners on the podiums. Just noticed it on YouTube.

Body Language showed the contestants' names above the stage, and on top of a tall beam.

Beat the Clock with Bud Collyer.

Although with a few mentions of names here and there, you didn't see their names.

Love Connection comes to mind as well, don't forget about To Tell The Truth and color Beat The Clock. If you're talking Nick game shows, Double Dare to Get The Picture(in the money in the main game format) comes to mind too.

Love Connection, along with many other dating shows didn't include nametags or anything else. So I have to shout out whatever dating show (all of them) that excited back then

Oh yeah, the panel shows, WML, IGAS, TTTT and TNTS. Also, early version(s) of Concentration.

ABC Password had them on the podium toward the end of its run, when they were trying to narrow down from 4 players to 2, at the beginning of a new round. No name tags. But All-Stars did use some identification with the all-celebrity contestant slates, especially in the Grandmaster Tournament...there was a large graphic on the back wall of the stage.

They probably wanted to make their all stars to look big, so they added name tags

Some of the celebs who showed up to play were already bona-fide tv stars, like Betty, Liz Montgomery, Carol Burnett, Dawson, Jack Klugman, Tony Randall, et al. No introduction necessary for names like that...especially since they were all well-known to even the most casual Password viewer.

That's what they meant by all-stars? i thought they meant past contestants who did well on the show, and returned

They went to an all-celebrity format for the 1974-1975 season, in a tournament format. The concept seemed like a good one, given the success of shows like Match Game, but Password was ultimately a victim of schedule changes, and the ratings started to drop. They went back to the contestant concept in mid-1975, but it was too late to ultimately save the show. As most of us know, the majority of that run was wiped - a sad irony, considering that it was probably the best era of the show (Allen was really at the top of his game), and that it was the one major G-T show that was almost completely lost to history.
