Alex has been known to reference this episode from time to time, saying that a player is uncatchable "unless he pulls a Cliff Klavan."

Mom told me about the Jeopardy episode of Cheers when Hallmark Channel aired it two weeks ago but I missed it because I was playing Nintendo and after she told me to see it I put my own Jeopardy game into my Nintendo DS to see if I could beat Cliff Klavan's score and do better than him and to my shock and surprise when I got to Final Jeopardy I put the exact same wager as Cliff Klavan and I won the game and Mom was surprised herself as well. So here was the score from my game,
    {Cliff Klavan}{John Ratzenburger} Wagered $16,000 Won $0
    {Me} Wagered 16,000 Won $23,000,
I am so happy that there was a Cheers character that was smarter than me and that episode was so awesome with Alex Trebek visiting Cheers at the end to apologize to Cliff Klavan and that alone makes that Cheers episode fun to watch,

One of his references I've actually seen on the show. Too bad.

Here's a game show themed episode of a TV show that i'm watching today as I write this. The game show themed episode is the classic I Love Lucy episode The Quiz Show in which Lucy {Lucille Ball} competes in a Minute To Win It/Let's Make A Deal type game show for a big jackpot. If you haven't seen this wonderful I Love Lucy episode prepare to laugh yourself silly it's really hillarious,

Believe it or not I do have that episode of The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air and what luck that it was featured on the Second Season of The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air DVD Set and the name of the episode is Eye On The Prize that features Will {Will Smith} trying to team up with Carlton {Our very own Alfonso Ribiero from Catch 21} in the quest to win money for a plumber to help Phillip Banks fix their leaky kitchen faucet but rather win a car. Little did I know that this game show episode would become a stepping stone for Alfonso Ribiero to showcase his talents in game shows. Guess Alfonso got inspired to host game shows after doing this episode of The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air don't you think,
Check this game show themed episode when you must because it's so awesome,
Thank you for sharing it with me Thunderbird6,

There's an episode of Sanford & Son where they went on The Gong Show.

And another one where they went on a Let's Make a Deal knockoff called Wheel and Deal.

I saw that Sanford And Son episode with my father and it was so cool that Sanford and Lamont got to compete on a game show and have fun. Did Monty Hall play the host of Wheel And Deal on Sanford And Son as well?,

There's a good episode of The Jeffersons this week that aired on TV One... George has a dream where he ends up on a game show to determine whether he goes to heaven or hell.

Way back in the ancient B&W days - November 20, 1954 to be exact - CBS put a virtual plug for Beat the Clock on their hit The Honeymooners (really part of The Jackie Gleason Show). I've watched the episode on YouTube, but it got taken down on a copyright claim. You can read a description of the crossover. And I've got a screenshot from the episode on the blog. That's Gleason with his face covered by whipped cream as Bud Collyer and Audrey Meadows look on.

MADTv did an episode where Pamela Anderson turns a gay guy straight and a homemaker into a lesbian.

There was even a MADTv spoof of TPIR many years ago. I think there was a blonde model that looked somewhat like Dian Parkinson.

MADtv did a number of Price is Right parodies. My favorite was the "celebrity" episode sketch with "Martha Stewart and Tanya Harding."
