According to Buzzerblog's Twitter, Dancing with the Stars will have a marathon starting Monday, July 2nd of the season 5 episodes. More will follow, along with the pdf's

I HATE Dancing With The Stars, but if they must show it, I guess taking out one of the three Family Feud nights is better than taking out Friday's Pyramid or something...

The show was so unsuccessful on weekends, I bet it will bomb even more on Monday nights. Anyone wanna bet on the lowest DWTS rating for Monday, July 2nd?? LOL!

Buzzerblog said that this will be a 3-day season 5 marathon starting July 2nd. I bet some numbers will get below 50,000. It depends on if it's an actual 20-hour marathon (plus paid programming).

Did you really think they spent all this money and it WASN'T coming back??? I believe we discussed this when they took it off. It's 4th of July week. A lot of cable stations do marathons. No big deal.Yes I know you all wanted a marathon of some old show, it wasn't happening. A Harvey Feud marathon might have had traction if they didn't do one about every day now as it is.

You are the one constantly complaining it should be removed from the schedule because it does terrible ratings. Now you want them doing a 72 hour marathon of it?

So do I. But if they are both going to do low ratings then you go for the one that has the potential to bring in better ad revenue. That would be Dancing with the Stars. It may bomb (again). But it doesn't look like its back for good. I still think they are missing the boat. 1 episode a day or 2 or 3 on the weekend might work better than what they are doing yet again. Plus, I do think it's kind of ridiculous wanting a 72 hour marathon of a show you keep saying should be removed altogether for low ratings. The same thing you are saying this marathon is a bad idea for.

I like Dawson. I like Family Feud. I like Dawson's version of Family Feud from 1976-85. I would prefer any version of Family Feud for 3 straight days on GSN over Dancing with the Stars. But when it comes to ratings, I do think Dawson Feud should go away on GSN. It did poorly at 9am with a ratings drop from Match Game, and it's doing worse at 8am (but no surprise there). Until we see a new lease on (Classic) Family Feud, I think Dawson should go.

So both of you are right here. I 100% like Dawson Feud, but it's the lowest rated classic, even when he aired at 9am
