    Disney Channel and game shows

In all the years that Disney Channel has been on the air I find it quite odd that Disney has not had any game shows since they had Teen Win Lose Or Draw and Over The Wall back in the 90's and I think that if Disney Channel had it's own game shows I think they would be pretty cool. Here's some game show ideas that Disney Channel could create for game shows,
    1. High-Low,
In this game show contestants aged 10 to 18 compete in a Chutes and Ladders type game with contestants answering questions devoted to history world news pop divas math and more and for every question contestants get right they would have a chance to move up on the board but would have a spot on the board called Take A Chance and if Take A Chance was chosen the player would have a chance to answer a question or decide not to go for it and if the winning player had enough points he/she would go to a special puzzle round where the player has 60 minutes to guess photo puzzles of different objects and if the player got the puzzle right and won he/she would win prizes such as vacations store gift cards and shopping sprees to Target Best Buy and Kmart and Wherehouse Music and the theme song would be High-Low by Wayne Brady. Great show for Disney Channel in my mind,
    2. Mighty Quinn,
Mighty Quinn is a show that's similar to The Weakest Link but G-Rated and how it would be played is there are teams of kids and teens like Family Feud and the questions would be assigned a category and for every answer correct the team would get 100 points but however for every answer wrong the team would be warned if they missed an answer one of their team would be sent home and the team with the one player left standing would play a Bonus game where five answers would be given and if won the player would be crowned The Mighty Quinn and it makes a wonderful show that would grant Disney Channel huge ratings,
    What do you think?,

I would hope Disney would produce better game shows than Nickelodeon does, but they would probably make them the same level of "family-friendliness" which is too childish for me

I remember watching Mad Libs on Disney when I was a kid. That show was so awesome. Been a long time since I've seen it.

Back in the very early days of Disney Channel -- I'm talking early- to mid-'80s, when they were still a premium service on just about every cable system -- they had a game show called Contraption that was halfway decent. As bizarre as this mash-up sounds to say it, it was a combination of Hit Man and Fun House, where teams of kids watched clips of classic Disney animated movies, answered questions about what they just saw, then competed in a silly, prop-laden "theme" race based on whatever was in the clip. Instead of points, teams earned "Contraptiles" for correct answers or for winning the race, and the team with the most Contraptiles by the end of the show won a bonus prize.

Unfortunately, this is all I remember about it at this time, and for once my reference material isn't helping jog my memory at all. Anyone?

I think I tried watching that once. I remember seeing Off the Wall, though. I couldn't stand the Jeff Spicoli-type host, I forget what his name was.
"YOU ON FAMILY FEUD! THIS AIN'T A COMEDY ROUTINE!"

Perhaps you should practice what you preach, Steve.

Larry Zeno was the host of Off The Wall, and David Sidoni was the host of Mad Libs. Apparently, the OP forgot about these two late 90s Disney Channel game shows that I remember watching whenever I got the chance.

Disney Channel did a game show version of Mad Libs? I love doing Mad Libs books with my father and I didn't even know that Disney Channel had Mad Libs. I think with a few hit game shows Disney Channel would make a perfect recipe for a successful network once again and bring more families to watch and higher ratings to TV. And here's a wonderful fact about David Sidoni for those of you curious about David Sidoni's work. David Sidoni was also the host of the show Wheel Of Fortune 2000 a wonderful remake of Wheel Of Fortune for kids. Still with a wonderful fanbase Disney Channel should seriously think about adding game shows and someone should really submit the idea to Disney because Disney Channel would love the ideas for game shows indeed,

How was Mad Libs turned into a game show? It was a book which people filled out for fun. I never saw it, but it sounded like a pretty bad idea.

I'm not the only one who remembers these two shows? I think they ran one after another at one point in time.

I remember Off the Wall. Aired 1999/2000. Do Crazy stunts for prizes. One of the stunts that I could recall vaguely was 3 kids had their legs up in the air and their objective was to they legs up the longest otherwise, it would have fallen in a cake right below them. And these kids had stamina so for a good few minutes, that's all you were watching.

At least Disney channel has done somewhat better in game shows than Nickelodeon it looks like, and I think Disney makes them more interesting
