True, but IMHO, those old game show themes were probably the best. Not that I have a problem with today's themes, which I don't, but let me name a few shows with some good themes back in the day.Originally Posted by Lingofan97

I agree. I really don't mind today's themes that much. But the problem with today's game shows also and today's networks, game shows don't last long in prime time because they skew old. That's game shows for you. And then these stupid networks cancel them. An example is Million Dollar Password, and if I recall that's the reason CBS stopped doing prime time game shows. But, most game show themes are good today. We just aren't going to have those classic themes.
If game shows get respectable ratings, networks should keep them. Same goes for other shows as well but these networks are stupid. Maybe leave the game shows to the networks who actually want to keep them on the air.

Good to see Catch 21 on during Prime-time. It was an Improvement over the DOND Thursday block.
Best part of the marathon: Celebrity Catch 21 with Judge Joe Brown.
I would have liked to seen celebrity Catch 21. I didn't "Catch" the marathon. Catch 21 has always done poorly in primetime, which is why I fear GSN will bring back Deal or No Deal on Thursday nights soon, before the premieres of American Bible Challenge and Beat the Chefs.
Catch 21 has had a bad primetime history. In 2010 it aired at 8:30pm, a repeat of the new 5:30pm episode, and did alright but then got replaced by O'Hurley Feud. Then, it entered the 7:30pm slot in October of 2011, and stayed for two weeks, then block scheduling started. Ultimately, that was filler for Baggage. Then, it was going to get a block marathon on Monday nights last Winter after "Million Dollar Monday" failed, but then they aired Lingo (Engvall) that week.
