Alex Trebek back home from hospital

    http://buzzerblog.com/alex-trebek-back-home/

Just some small news, which is good news. After a 4 day stay in a Los Angeles medical center (or "hospital"), he returned home late this afternoon, and of course is still expected to record episodes of Jeopardy! in July

good for him, i knew that heart condtion of his didn't take that long!

also here's the recorded message from Mr.Trebek himself(courtesy of Jeopardy.com):http://www.jeopardy.com/news/alexmessage.php

"Hi everyone, This is Aex Trebek and i just wanted to say thank you all so very much for the many kind words and prayers you've been sending in this past week. I am back home now, I'm recovering well and I'm very much looking forward to getting back into our studio in just a few weeks to start work on our 29th season of Jeopardy! Until we are back with new shows in September, you all take care and thanks again."

now i'm more of a "Wheel Watcher" than a"Jeopardy! Junkie" but i do wish Mr.Trebek good health to Infinity and beyond!

I'm so glad that Alex Trebek is back from the hospital and I too wish him great success in his recovery because without him Jeopardy would not survive without him. What's shocking about this story was when I first heard about Alex Trebek in the hospital I was just playing Jeopardy on my Nintendo DS the day before and when I saw the story I said "Hey I was just playing Jeopardy a minute ago" but I am so glad that Alex will be alright and still be cool to bring us more Jeopardy episodes full of fun,
    Vinnie

How do we know that? We have had other hosts leave other shows, and the show has survived. Two years from now Jeopardy! will be searching for a new host, and Jeopardy! will live on since people like the gameplay and intelligence of the game. American Idol survived without Simon, Regis and Kelly is surviving without Regis, I will miss Alex on Jeopardy!, but the show is not going to get cancelled after 2014.

Remember -- that's what everyone said about The Price Is Right after Bob Barker left. It's five years later, and the show's still going strong.
"YOU ON FAMILY FEUD! THIS AIN'T A COMEDY ROUTINE!"

Perhaps you should practice what you preach, Steve.

And it's not like TPIR is struggling for renewal season by season, or is on the brink of cancellation. Jeopardy! will still be going strong seven years from now without Alex, because the show still has a strong audience that likes to watch.

Alex said he will still do voices on the Jeopardy! video games beyond 2014, until another contract is up with that. I wonder if this is true, or just a rumor. I think I heard it somewhere on these boards.
