Looking at the way they have Harvey's episodes, there's no introduction in Harvey Feud compared to Karn and O'Hurley Feud where the hosts went over and talked to the families before the first survey. Then, before 2003 they said everyone's name and Richard introduced/talked to all the families again.

I can't help but think that they expressly did that for Harvey.

Possibly. They knew Harvey was going to be funny, and try to test his comedy styles on Feud which would take up time in the 21-minute episode
