    Andy Griffith dead at 86

The beloved star of The Andy Griffith Show and Matlock died earlier this morning.

This shocks and saddens me to a whole new level. The man was an icon from a bygone era of television, a simpler time. 2012 is not a good year...

And another one leaves us. . 2012 has not been great, and we just recently just crossed the halfway mark.

    R.I.P. Andy. You were awesome.

Yep, another one bites the dust. So far, in 2012, we lost:

    Whitney Houston
    Donna Summer
    Don Cornelius
    Dick Clark
    Bob Stewart
    Richard Dawson
    Davy Jones

And so many more, I don't even know who they are off the top of my head.

And 2012 is barely past the halfway mark.

R.I.P., Mr. Griffith. You'll be missed for sure.

This is too bad. He's not a game show legend though but he's definitely a TV Legend to remember. A ton of deaths since about the beginning of March this year.

Turns out Andy Griffith did have a game show appearance here on What's My Line in 1958, 1959 and 1965.

I watch Andy Griffith on TV Land every day. I record it, and this is sad to hear indeed. We've lost a lot of people.

    R.I.P, Andy.

I'm curious what TV Land will do for a marathon like this. TV Land usually throws typically long marathons, like they've done for I Love Lucy

They're doing a marathon of The Andy Griffith Show tomorrow and July 7-8 in the morning/afternoon.

Wow that was fast. GSN didn't come up with the Dawson or Clark tribute even that fast.

Oh yeah, TV Land don't play around when they're dealing with Andy Griffith.

Here's something that is truly sickening:

Some people are actually happy he's dead, just because he supported Obama and Obamacare.

I think TV Land is great. Unlike GSN. I would really like to know their ratings for the classic shows on the mornings and afternoons.

Those people must have no lives or something. Seriously? Just because he supported Obamacare? So what? That's his belief. Morons.

I was watching my favorite commercials DVD and happened to see Andy Griffith be the spokesman for Post Grape Nuts cereal and I am wondering if you remember this commercial? It features Andy exercising and is really hilarious,

I don't support either, but that's repulsive and sad on several levels.

RIP Andy Griffith. We've lost way too many TV legends in 2012 so far....
