Near similar situation happened on the 11pm Feud 7/25.
If your wife kicked you out, where would you sleep/stay?

Guy said the Garage/Basement.

After a brief pause, the board operator revealed Garage.
Garage and Basement are 2 different answers however, Basement appeared nowhere on the board....

Usually the judges on Family Feud will take the firsr answer said. I saw the same episode at 6PM and thought about it

I know they have procedures, but on the 5:00pm episode (I think it was, even though it was O'Hurley) for a vegetable served with a dip or something, the guy said chips, then his second answer was celery. Of course the guy should know that chips aren't a veggie, so I say in a case like this accept the second answer.

Again though, I know they have rules and procedures. Just an observation.

That's the case where the first answer is taken, but if it's a question like "Favorite type of chips" and someone says Sour Cream & Onion, then that's a full answer.

Sorry for bringing this back up, but I just saw this same episode again not too long ago and I'm still stunned at the lack of consistency shown in this situation. I bet the Krueger family has never eaten any steak, potatoes, and french fries after that catastrophe.

The episode was bound to repeat at some point. I'm just surprised it took this long with all the slots
