I agree, with the success of Whammy! on weekdays.

Let's hope for the best and I don't know why it will not happen.

Tattletales is The Newlywed's Game twin. Remember how well Bob's The Newlywed Game used to do on GSN in the mornings. It's bad enough that the took of Eubanks' The Newlywed Game, I guess five years ago now, but they should have a classical Newlywed/Dating show on, even if it's The Dating Game or Love Connection. Something that would drag interest to the common GSN viewer, who have liked The Newlywed Game and Baggage. I have a feeling leasing classics like The Dating Game would bring a younger audience to the mornings.

There's a reason "New Classic Shows" is the lead on the poll right now

Classics can do better from 11:30pm-2:00pm rather than the modern shows. Because that's a real weak time frame. Classics used to be on from 9am-3pm but, I can take 8am-2pm. Then 2pm onward can be modern shows.

Deal or No Deal needs to go at 1pm, it's getting stale at that time slot. Lingo should go in at 2:30pm ET where I'm sure it can do just as well, like Engvall Lingo, but Engvall would retain the 1:30am slot, plus maybe even a weekend slot.

Jeopardy can stay at Noon, then maybe add Wheel of Fortune at 12:30pm and fill the schedule with classics from 8am-2pm. Although I would try Osmond's Pyramid at 1pm and Syndie Deal at 1:30pm. Which would look better.

Otherwise it looks okay. GSN should show Tattletales, Card Sharks, and Press Your Luck. to add some variety. And put Dawson in an afternoon slot. Maybe 11:30am Wheel, and 12:30pm Dawson Feud where it did well before.

I'm not sure what I would try from 11:30am-2pm. I think I would leave things as they are, for now. It's GSN's fault for Jeopardy!'s ratings, for not advertising the new episode. May Jeopardy! is just better off at 2am. For 11:30am, I would air another Super Password since it's been the best-rated classic for a few weeks in a row now. Then in the 12pm hour, some Dawson Feud or Match Game instead of Jeopardy!.

Even though Deal or No Deal gets some of the best ratings before 2pm, it is still not good enough. Maybe just making it a weekend only show would work, but Dog Eat Dog is taking a lot of slots away. If Deal still had five weekend slots, then it should be taken out at 1pm weekdays. But then it would only have one slot a week. Then, if Woolery gets removed at 12:30pm it has nowhere else to go. Not 2:30pm since Engvall does VERY well, and not 3 or 3:30pm since Whammy! and CR are the highest rated originals.

    Early afternoons schedule shake-up

Between the weak late morning/early afternoon low ratings, and what will happen with the premieres of classic revivals "The Pyramid" and "The Newlywed Game", just like the last thread I have to plan out what is best for this part of the schedule coming up in September.

5pm-7pm: With a new original premiering September 3rd at 6PM, and another coming later in the Fall at 6:30pm, that means no more Harvey in late afternoons, at least at that time. GSN will most likely move Harvey back to 5:30pm, so there's still some less modern Feud in late afternoons that does well. In this case, O'Hurley will keep the 5pm spot, and Catch 21 should remain at 4pm and 4:30pm if ratings hold up all Summer.

We know The Pyramid will premiere at 6PM, but The Newlywed Game should air at 6:30PM to gain an audience at that time, in preparation for the new episodes, probably coming around October or November. This late afternoon lineup will trigger this.....

12pm-2pm is the weakest area on the daytime schedule, if not the whole seven day lineup. Something new needs to be done, without making any huge acquisitions. I thought Jeopardy! at noon, inserted back Memorial Day would contribute greatly to afternoons, but that didn't happen. The best possible for afternoons starting in September is....

9:30am: Replace Karn Feud with ___(your choice)___
    11:30am: Super Password
    12:00pm: Family Feud (Karn)
    12:30pm: Family Feud (Karn)
    1:00pm: The Pyramid (GSN)
    1:30pm: Lingo (Woolery)

A lot of changes here. I like the idea of another SP since usually in an hour block of shows, the second show does better, and SP does well now at 11am. Karn gets the whole noon hour since he has no other slot on the schedule in my schedule, except 1am, Monday nights and weekends. And at that time of day, I'm not sure if ancient Dawson episodes and O'Hurley will do better. It's also a little early for Harvey.

At 1pm, The Pyramid should be a good lead out to Karn, as a repeat from the previous night.

This schedule change would also take five Feud slots out of the schedule total, from 88 a week to 83, since we're losing Karn Feud at 9:30am, and Harvey Feud at 6pm and 6:30pm, losing three slots but adding two.

I'll say Whammy at 9:30am and Press Your Luck in the afternoon.

Better yet weekdays, Press Your Luck at 9:30am. The 2002-03 Whammy! does well on weekends that early in the morning, and I'm not going to touch the 2-4pm block that includes Whammy! right now

I'm not looking to make any huge changes to the GSN morning schedule right now, Maybe a lease of Card Sharks, and that's it. Nothing too fancy that's harder to get like Supermarket Sweep, which people so desperately want back it seems

For the schedule above I like everything in daytime up until about 1pm. I doubt GSN will ever lease two different seasons of Wheel of Fortune. I like the idea of The Pyramid repeating from the previous night. Then I would leave everything from 2-5pm as it is now since it does well, and have a Feud hour at 5pm as a lead in to The Pyramid, probably O'Hurley at 5pm and Harvey at 5:30pm.

Then for primetime, I would still stick to the 4 hour blocks for now. GSN has seen a lot of primetime success at least Monday-Thursday with the modern acquisitions. And Thursday soon is going to be a night of several different shows

    The weekend schedule should be

    9:00am Now You See It
    9:30am Wheel Of Fortune
    10:00am Press Your Luck

    11:00am Jeopardy
    11:30am Card Sharks
    12:00pm Super Password
    12:30pm Match Game PM
    1:00pm The Pyramid
    1:30pm Whammy
    2:00pm Harvey Family Feud
    2:30pm Supermarket Sweep
    3:00pm Sherri Newlywed Game
    3:30pm Password Plus
    4:00pm Blockbusters
    4:30pm Karn Family Feud
    5:00pm Woolery Lingo
    5:30pm Card Sharks

    9:00pm Wheel Of Fortune
In our dreams (they probably can't schedule it there, even on weekends)
    2:00am Now You See It
    2:30am Baggage
    3:00am Whammy
    3:30am Harvey Family Feud
    ....bad combinations here

All those classics could work well on weekend mornings though rather than weekdays (Tattletales, Blockbusters and Supermarket Sweep) But Supermarket Sweep is most likely never coming. Out of the three I prefer Tattletales.
