I assume that Combs will be seen again.
Cut down on Family Feud and limit it.
Acquire more modern shows (Millionaire, Who's Still Standing, Wheel of Fortune, etc...)
New classic shows (Press Your Luck, Black and White shows, etc...)
New classic episodes of (Match Game, Dawson Feud, etc)
Get rid of block scheduling from 7-11pm
Keep block scheduling from 7-11pm
The schedule is fine.
Other.
I assume that Combs will be seen again.
It depends if GSN wants to continue to lease new, classic shows. A Combs/Dawson block in late mornings or early afternoons could do decently.Originally Posted by jhshifris

Looking at the pdf's for the weeks American Bible Challenge and Beat the Chefs, I noticed when each show airs in reruns (that we don't need) that on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 'Bible' or 'Chefs' airs at 7 or 10pm, in a spot where the same episode would repeat in the same night.
Too bad at least on Tuesday and Wednesday those are the slots that actually do well
Hmm...maybe if GSN could they would. But I prefer Clark's version, as so does everyone else.Originally Posted by jhshifris

Well, that's a good Question. Because GSN probably couldn't get Bill Cullen's version and didn't they try to get John Davidson's version that one time?

Not bad at all so far. I like the cutback on Deal or No Deal for two much better shows.Originally Posted by ispyking19
Even with it cut back in the 5 and 6 pm hours, we already have enough Family Feud everywhere. I would leave Catch 21 and Lingo, which stil produce some good numbers.2pm O'Hurley Feud was Catch 21
2:30pm Karn Feud was Lingo Engvall
Once again, where's Catch 21? It should still be seen in afternoons.4pm Bible Challenge was Catch 21 x2
Rest of the schedule is great from 5pm-4am, including block scheduling. I like the idea of Woolery Lingo after Family Feud at 1:30am, better than my idea of The Newlywed Game
Also today we might be getting the schedules for the week of September 3-9, since it is getting close, and two weeks ago on a Friday we got the pdf's for this coming week with American Bible Challenge and Beat the Chefs, three Fridays before the week of their premiere date.
Hopefully this makes sense here
Let's see... People have stated that GSN has become the Family Feud channel.
So here's what I'd do if I were in charge of things at GSN.
+ Cut down on the number of Feud episodes during the day. Do you really need all of those episodes? It's like flipping from channel to channel and seeing commercials. If you flip to GSN, you'd probably wind up catching a ran to the ground episode of Feud. Limit how many episodes air.
+ If GSN can acquire shows that are cheap and will be effective for the network, then great. If Press Your Luck was re-acquired, it could be paired in an hour with Whammy!. You get what I'm saying, so let's move on.
+ And yes, I voted for Other. I'm not saying there aren't enough traditional game shows on the network, but maybe GSN can focus on making traditional game shows. Beat the Chefs sounds like it could be on the Food Network. The show on the Bible doesn't sound bad, but they've produced and/or aired worse. Hey - you guys could be seeing Catminister again. (Remember that?)
Game Show Paradise - welcoming GSN forum members since 5/13/2013!
I don't know what its going to take for GSN to really run episodes into the ground where they have so much rerun abuse nobody will watch them anymore.Originally Posted by racingchick1020
It's simple what needs to happen. Family Feud needs to get cut back from the current 88 slots a week to about 65 to 75. That would make me happier, as long as those airing aren't more 'Bible' repeats. Cut Feud back to 5pm, 5:30pm, 11:30pm, 12:30am and 1am, plus possibly moving Karn from early afternoons. That change shouldn't be too hard. The Pyramid should repeat at 11pm. We'll see what happens September 3rd...
Press Your Luck in the morning would be great, along with Card Sharks and possibly another classic. There's a lot of work that needs to be done in mornings+ If GSN can acquire shows that are cheap and will be effective for the network, then great. If Press Your Luck was re-acquired, it could be paired in an hour with Whammy!. You get what I'm saying, so let's move on
Good GSN Morning Changes:
8am change to Match Game
9:30am Change to Jim Perry Card Sharks
10am Change to Dawson Feud
11:30am Change to Press Your Luck
12:30pm Change to Jeopardy!

Small afternoon note: Change 2:30pm To Lingo with Chuck Woolery, leave Engvall at 1:30am
Dawson can do well at 10?
All good changes from 8am-1pm, though I'll note the 10am one in a minute. Engvall is getting removed at 1:30am next week, and getting replaced by Harvey Feud. I can see why, but he stays at 2:30pm. Before the end of 2012, I can see Engvall Lingo leaving the network, and maybe another original getting a spot at 2:30pm.Originally Posted by ispyking19
Sure...he can do better anywhere than 8am. But he can't do too well without a new lease of episodes. We've had the same episodes (along with Match Game) here for 2+ years. I'd give Card Sharks an hour from 9:30am-10:30am, starting with Eubanks then Perry.Originally Posted by jhshifris
