RIP Sherman Hemsley and Chad Everett

Well sad news, both Sherman Hemsley and Chad Everett passed away yesterday. Other than "The Jeffersons" and "Amen", Sherman's credits include Hollywood Squares(NBC Daytime and Bergeron), Celebrity Millionaire from March 2001, Figure It Out(Wild Style season from the year Nick GAS launched on only digital cable and Dish Network), and his cameo appearance on the February 7, 1993 episode of In Living Color(his appearance was also Damon Wayans' last first-run episode as a special guest star) and cameo appearance on "227". Chad Everett's game show credits were Tattletales, Password(ABC and Super), and Hollywood Squares(all 3 eras).

I remember Hemsley having a come back involved with game shows in the early 2000's, which were Hollywood Squares and Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Anyone would go on Hollywood Squares, but I was surprised to see his appearance on Millionaire in 2001. I'm curious if GSN had that episode, since I remember them airing Celebrity Millionaire in November 2011.

Everett was on Tattletales? What role did he play?

They aired Sherman's Millionaire appearance as early as October 2003 when they showed Millionaire specials on weekends, also before the changeover to The Network For Games era, they also aired the 4 Champions of Millionaire episodes from May 2000 and the 2 Return of $0 Winners episodes from May 2001.

2003 is when GSN acquired Regis' Millionaire, so the 2001 episodes have probably been airing since late that year. Back from the first week in November to the end of December, 2011, GSN aired a block called Million Dollar Money, and Regis' Millionaire aired then in the cycle of celebrity episodes. (You could tell GSN was trying to boost ratings by airing the celebrity episodes). So, I'm curious if Hemsley's episode aired in 2011

Millionaire has never lasted long in primetime on the recent schedule, which is why it was moved to 2am. Regis still deserved a little more respect than that.

    Funny.

But my favorite episode of any show like The Newlywed Game or a spin-off is the Davy Jones episode of The Newlywed Game from 2009. It can be found on YouTube as a full episode.

    Another sad death this year
