The NBC version of Chain Reaction in total had 115 episodes. I believe I was just thinking one version.

Anyway, I don't know about GSN picking up classic Chain Reaction. Two different versions with two few episodes. Still I wish GSN would pick up Supermarket Sweep right now

Most of the other great shows that I used to see on GSN have never aired in Canada, so it was fun for me to see some of the great Classics for the first time.
There was a game show from Canada in the latter part of the 1960s called "It's Your Move." I remember it preceding "Matches 'n' Mates" on a UHF channel that now is our Fox affiliate.

Another failure of a Candian game show it sounds like

Some of the Canadian game shows were really boring and dull. I can't imagine how anyone can sit through them for the entire half hour. But I guess some people think the same thing about the Classics that we love so dearly.

Canada hasn't been big with game shows...ever. I'm curious how their version of Match Game will turnout.

I heard he drank quite a bit and was sometimes abusive to Betty White, which she denies. He's dead so welll never know!

Allen Ludden to me seems like a guy that would drink somewhat often, but 30 years after his death I don't think Betty White is going to suddenly come out with anything

Oh, I hope that's not true! I'd like to believe that Betty wouldn't put up with that kind of treatment, but sadly we all know that women have suffered through abuse coming from someone they really love. May I ask where you heard or read that? (not that I'm doubting you, but I've never heard that before so I'm curious)

I don't see it, but then again I also can't see it in Garry Moore, who very famously came out as a recovering alcoholic in the 70's. You wouldn't believe how shocked I was when I read that! Some people are able to hide it very well...it certainly didn't affect Garry's work on IGAS or The Garry Moore Show.

This is the first time that I've ever heard of this. Where did you hear this?

But at the end of the day, Allen was still a good host of Password and Password Plus, never had any troubles with the law and was a good husband to Betty White. So we don't have any proof that Allen drank a lot

Allen seemed to me to be a bit aristocratic on screen, an image apparently he wanted to portray, so it isn't out of the reach of possibility that his off-camera demeanor was vastly different. But without first-hand accounts, it's all speculation.
Bring High Rollers to GSN please!

There's still not too much known about him off camera throughout the 60's and 70's, then come the early 80's he died. As I said, there's a good chance we'll never know

But there are first-hand accounts of Allen's un-pleasantness off-camera. Which broke my heart when I first learned about it all, because Allen is a personal hero of mine, but I guess not all of them were going to be the greatest people.

The drinking thing though, I have to call BS on that. You can't just go around making claims like that without citing a source of some sort.

Un-pleasantness meaning what? I believe what you're saying, since this is a topic that has been discussed many times on the forums recently, but we also don't have a link to this video
