    The Exit List

That's right! I'm bringing the British game show The Exit List across the pond! Ben Bailey will be the host with Mark Thompson as the announcer. The rules will be the same as the British version, except the dollar amounts for the questions will be raised and the top prize will be $1,000,000. The dollar amounts will go as follows:

    1st row: $5,000
    2nd row: $10,000
    3rd row: $15,000
    4th row: $20,000
    5th row: $25,000
    6th row: $50,000 (with 1 vault worth $1,000,000)

I just need 1 player to start the game. If more people on the boards want to play, I've got some more episodes waiting in the wings.

    Episode 1:

    Episode 2:
    Episode 3:
    Episode 4:
    Episode 5:
    Episode 6:
    Episode 7:
    Episode 8:

Here's the Wikipedia site for The Exit List (to familiarize yourself with the game): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Exit_List

    Who wants to play?

Rather an interesting show and I can see how one can end up in quite a sticky wicket.

Sorry about that...feeling a little British right now.

Here's a link to watch the Jenny & David episode on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5qL_dkih2I

Welcome to the game, Kallen61. Episode 1 starts....NOW!

Mark Thompson: The Memory Maze: One way in, one way out. There's money in every vault and somewhere deep inside, one of them holds $1,000,000. To open a vault, you must answer a question, but every answer is added to your Exit List: A list that you must remember perfectly to escape with the money. The further you go in, the harder it is to get out. All that stands between you and a fortune is....THE EXIT LIST!

    (Million Dollar Money Drop theme)

And now, here's our host....BEN BAILEY!

Ben Bailey: Welcome, everybody! Welcome to The Exit List! Down below me is The Memory Maze! The vaults contain money and one of them contains $1,000,000! However, the further tonight's contestant go in to find it, the more they'll have to remember to get out. Now, let's meet our first contestant, Kallen61! Kallen, welcome to The Exit List. Now let's go over the rules. Each vault in the Memory Maze contains money ranging from $5,000-$50,000. To win money, you must answer a question correctly. Answer correctly and not only do you win the money associated with the vault, but your chosen answer appears on your Exit List, a list that you must remember perfectly to escape with the money and the path ahead of you will be opened. Answer wrong, all 4 answers will be added to the Exit List and the path ahead of you will be blocked. You can choose to leave the Memory Maze at any time, but you must remember the Exit List. Inside the Memory Maze is a vault containing $1,000,000 in cash. Find that vault and you instantly win the game. Be careful while you're in the Memory Maze, because there's 5 hidden Panic Rooms. Avoid them at all costs. Now, it's time to enter THE MEMORY MAZE! There's only 1 vault in the first row and it's a question worth $5,000. Here's your first question:

On ESPN's 'Mike & Mike in the Morning', who is Mike Greenberg's partner?

    Mike Wilbon
    Mike Golic
    Mike Francesa
    Mike Krucow

You have 30 seconds (24 hours) to answer. Time starts NOW!

  5. #5
    Lock in Mike Golic please!

  6. #6
Ben Bailey: You've locked in Mike Golic. You want Mike Golic and only Mike Golic to appear on your Exit List. Let's see it!

    (Duel correct answer cue)

That's correct! And here's your Exit List!

    Mike Golic

The route directly ahead of you is now open! Each vault in the next row is worth $10,000. Of course, there's also those 5 hidden Panic Rooms. Stay away from them. Is this a question for $10,000 or is this a Panic Room?

    $10,000

It is a question for $10,000! Here's your question:

What 'Star Trek' alumni went on to host the long-running children's series 'Reading Rainbow'?

    George Takei
    Lenoard Nimoy
    William Shatner
    LeVar Burton

30 seconds (24 hours) to answer, Time starts NOW!

  8. #8
You locked in LeVar Burton. You want LeVar Burton and only LeVar Burton to appear on your Exit List. Show us!

    (ding)

That is correct! This is your Exit List!

    Mike Golic
    LeVar Burton

You now have $15,000 and the route directly ahead of you is now open! The vault ahead of you has a question about Money worth $15,000. The vaults to your left and right are worth $10,000. The left side vault has a question about Automobiles and the right side vault has a question about Television. Choose your path.

  9. #9
I choose the right side vault about Television.

  10. #10
You're going to the right. The category is Television, is this a question for $10,000 or is this a Panic Room?

    $10,000

It's a question! Here it is:

Which of these men rode a bicycle across the United States in 2009?

    Pat Sajak
    Jeff Probst
    Phil Keoghan
    Joe Rogan

30 seconds (24 hours) to answer, Time Starts....NOW!

  11. #11
Not sure, but I choose Jeff Probst.

  12. #12
You locked in Jeff Probst. Now, here's something that is exclusive to this version of the Exit List. You get 3 helps along the way and here they are:

    Instant Access
    Switch the Question
    Answer Change

Instant Access only kicks in if you get a question wrong. It allows you to open the route ahead of you and take the money inside the vault you used it in. You can switch out a question at any time in exchange for a question of the same category and money amount or you can change your answer. You can only use each of your helps once during the game, so you need to decide on the best time to use them. Do you want to use any of your helps?

    A question and a suggestion.

Q: Could a spectator put in crowd input like "::crowd:: Left! Left!" or would you consider this illegal aid to a player?

S: It would be helpful to post the maze layout. If you are using the same as the show, it could be something like...

    26 25 24 23 22 21 20
    19 18 17 16 15 14 13
    12 11 10 09 08
    07 06 05
    04 03 02
    01

That way a player could see if the were putting themselves in danger of getting locked in (like Kallen is right now), and they would have to name the room w/ the answer on their way out. If they get the room wrong they have to try again in another room, just like the TV game.

The helps are an interesting addition because you can possibly avoid getting locked in, or at least get one free pass on a lock in. In the TV game, if you get locked in you can either exit w/ what you have or leave your money and move ahead w/ $0.

Also real interested in seeing how you plan to do a panic room.

A spectator can put in crowd input during the game.

    As for the maze layout:

    26 25 24 23 22 21 20
    19 18 17 16 15 14 13
    12 11 10 09 08
    07 06 05
    04 03 02
    01

You'll see how I do Panic Rooms when one comes up.

I'd like to switch the question. I did not realize I was locking myself in; my bad.. but the layout is helpful.. I've been memorizing my previous answers, but forgot to memorize layout...
