Why are so many celebrities dying so soon in 2012?

In all my life as a fan of celebrities I have never witnessed so many popular celebrities that are dying just when they become really famous in 2012 and I want to know why the reason is? Is it because celebrities cannot afford medical care due to the economy or is it because 2012 is a stressful year for celebrities and they cannot handle what's happening in the world? Take for instance Whitney Houston passed away at age 48 due to nothing wrong in Feb. 2012 and she was in good health and clear of her problems with her life then in July we lost Donna Summer which shocked me because she was a great singer and she appeared to be in good spirits but what I think happened was she kept her illness a secret from her fans and then in the game show world we lost Dick Clark and Richard Dawson and now we have lost Chad Everett and Sally Ride and Sherman Hemsley. Who knows when this madness will end because this news upsets me that many of our game show and TV heroes have lost their lives this year,
Why is this suddenly happening to our favorite celebrities and game show hosts?,

I know 2009 was another bad year for this, but overall 2012 has been a lot worse. You can't get a real answer to this questions. It's just how life and death works.

It's the Illuminati in cahoots with the Mayans and HAARP-oh's.

That's funny, because I've been thinking exactly the same thing.

Death is a part of life. When your number's up, your number's up.

For certain reasons everyone would like to be born on February 29th so when they are 80 they're really still 20

And when they reach age 64, they can drive; 72, they can vote; 84, they can gamble; and 248, they can qualify for Social Security.

Perfect. They can attend high school well into their 70's

Well, add another unfortunate death. Repeat (and I do mean, repeated several times) composer, producer, conductor, and songwriter Marvin Hamlisch passed away at the age of 68 after collapsing at his New York home. Story here.

Although he was New York born and conducted many orchestral pieces, I think he found himself at home in Pittsburgh. I know many people who have met him, and despite his regality, was a very kind and down-to-earth person. He always had a smile on his face and was the perennial "geek", but truly a magical man and won Grammys, Oscars, Emmys, a Tony....something very few could accomplish in a lifetime. We will miss him here in the Steel City, as he was to conduct the PNC Pops at Heinz Hall here in Pittsburgh this fall.

This is a type of death that has happened this year a lot but hasn't been highlighted in the news "Author, playright, composer, poet dies". A lot of those deaths this year, and a lot of them in their 60's and 70's.

Darn. That's unfortunate. R.I.P. Marvin. I enjoyed him on Match Game

He appeared on Match Game 76, January.

If we're lucky that could be the next season to air on GSN. We'll see when that is...

So, we lost 4 people this week and they were

Bill Rafferty, Kathi Goertzen(Seattle news anchor), Ron Palillo* and now Dobie Gray but I didn't know that Marvin Hamlisch also died.

*did i get his last name right?

It's like when we lost some more people after Michael Jackson died 3 years ago.
